Great Idea but Doesn't Work Great in Cold Snowy Climates - Plus Some Other Unintended Consequences
Liked it at first, but a heavy snowfall still led to the mat not holding all the water once the snow and slush melted (mostly from accumulations behind the wheels that fall off the car). Also, as a result it takes long to dry, especially with the cold temperatures - one week on and still wet. Another unintended consequence is every time I step on it my shoes get wet which I then carry to the other parts of the garage. What's worse, I have dogs that come with me in the car and when they step on the few inches of mat before jumping into the back seat, they end up jumping in with wet feet and stain the whole car where they step. Having second thoughts whether to keep this.

Cannot use a vacuum cleaner on it.
I guess I got what I paid for but the first time I went out to vacuum it up, the vacuum jams because the material is so soft it gets pulled up into the vacuum cleaner so I have to use a leaf blower to clean it off. Don't think, like I did, this is good high quality out door carpeting because it is not. It is just about the cheapest fabric imaginable and I wish I had spent the extra money to buy something that a vacuum can work on.

Function is ok but impossible to clean.
I've had my mats in use for about 6 months now and I must say they've done what I purchased them to do which is keep people from slipping and cracking their heads on our garage floor when it gets wet due to the new epoxy finish we had installed. So for that purpose, they've done just fine. I've had no problem with them lifting or curling up when I turn the wheel on my car even directly on top of the mat. Part of the reason they stick so well to my floor is because it has a clean, high gloss clear finish on it. If your floor is dusty, bare concrete I'd be suprised if they stick well. My only problem with the product is it is almost impossible to clean and maintain. This type of fiber is stringy and lets go of it's tethering very easily. It traps every little tiny piece of leaf, bark, road stuff, pine needles etc in the fibers and it's very difficult to get them out. Forget the leaf blower, don't even waste your time. It'll get the really big stuff (entire leafs that have blown in) but that's it. The small debris is way too lodged in to blow out. Household vacuum does better, but be prepared to flip it over and pull spun fibers out of the brushes. Also, **DO NOT** make the same mistake I made and set your vacuum to low or bare floor setting. It literally spun the fibers up around the brushes like a cocoon or some kind of a wool sweater and I had to take my vacuum apart and spend 20 minutes cutting the fibers away with scissors and picking the fibers out of the brushes with needle nosed pliers. I was unable to get them all out and I'll probably just order a new brush cylinder. Raise your vacuum to at least medium height and keep an eye on the brushes every few minutes. I ended up with a shop vac with a floor attachment and did the best I could, but honestly that's a pain and it still leaves debris in the fibers. I will say that the mats do well with moderate amounts of winter slush and water that drip off the cars and they dry out fairly quickly. Kudos for that. In the end, I don't believe the company misrepresented the product, I just find them extremely difficult to maintain. I could care less that they weren't cut straight but if that bothers you, you should know - they're not cut straight. (that would bother me if I owned the company). I think they're a little overpriced for what they are and I would try something else before returning to this product for the reasons mentioned above.

Works as Advertised
It is perfect for a single car garage. It arrived just in time to put on our garage floor after a snow before we pulled the car in. Our house has no basement, so we need to take advantage of every little space. I have pegboards, shelves and racks on both sides of my garage and a workbench at the far inside wall. Since I got it organized two summers back, we started parking our car in it. We realized after the first snow that year how much melting comes off the car. I was constantly using wads of paper towels to sop it up. This mat works beautifully! It sops everything up and our floor stays dry now!

Pretty good
This is a pretty good product. For anyone wondering, it is the same item as the Armor-All branded one. Drymate is the manufacturer.I do wish it shipped ROLLED with the surface that faces the floor OUT, as would make sense; that way, you could simply unroll it...but no, it shipped folded and the first thing I had to do was roll it up so I could unroll it out as I taped it down.

Bought two of these for my Firebirds to help prevent any possible garage floor staining from oil or other contaminants. They keep the garage floor dry, and soak up anything that may seep from your vehicle. Visually, the dark-gray/blue color of the fabric also makes your garage look more appealing.I'd say the only downside is the difficulty in cleaning any foreign debris from the mat surface. As an example, I have Pine trees located outside my home, and if pine needles happen to find their way into my garage and onto these mats, sweeping them with a shop push broom is nearly impossible. Most debris just sticks tot he mat surface. But with enough vigor and patience, one can keep these clean.

Holds gallons of ice and snow
I own two of these purchased from another vendor, and then bought this third mat from Amazon once they started carrying them. Amazon had the better price and delivery. This mat holds gallons of water and slush in my epoxy coated garage. After it starts to drain off, then I use a long squeegee to push the water out. The first two mats held up well until I tried to clean the salt stains off of them last summer with a stiff bristle brush. My advice, do not do this. Simply let soap soak on the encrusted salt, and let water from the hose do the trick. Since I destroyed some of the non-woven fibers, these older (3 year old) mats do not hold as much moisture as the new one does. But, if properly cared for, they will last a very long time.

Works great!
I bought my first 2 mats made this company 5+ years ago after finishing my garage floor (from the service coating the garage floor. I was skeptical, but it worked VERY well, trapping salt, sand and water. I bought the replacement through Amazon. Fast delivery and still a great product. Occasionally use a floor squeegee on it to put water out of the garage and combine with a low-temp dehumidifier and you have a dry garage. Highly recommend.
