This is a great way to quickly install safety railing to meet OSHA requirements. This was part of an order using other components as part of a system. It was a problem determining what fit with what and that lead to a mistake in matching parts. Fortunately I could modify the parts to fit together. Amazon need to present this product with better descriptions.

Solid as a rock!
This is the base that's required for the 1 5/16 safety railing. Besides weighing a lot, once bolted to the floor ... they aren't going anywhere. Even if the house collapses, they will remain! A+++
