2GB kit (1GBx2) Upgrade for a Dell Inspiron 6000 System (DDR2 PC2-5300, Non-ECC, )

The upgrade is exactly what I envisioned. Pop old out and pop new in and then just restart....worked like a charm.

Works perfectly in my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. Was very easy to install and my laptop installed it automatically. Great and cheap way to boost some speed on my old laptop.

My 5 year old Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop really needed a kick and upgrading the RAM was the best thing I could ever do. At one point, I was planning to buy a new laptop, but then decided to check for memory upgrade. This Crucial memory at under $50 (including shipping) is definitely a much cheaper option then the original Dell memory. It is very easy to install and provides significant performance boost to Inspiron. Inspiron 6000 memory slots are upgradable to 1 GB each and with 2 slots, 2GB is the maximum you can get.I highly recommend this memory kit, if you plan to upgrade your laptop and avoid spending money in a new one.

One was defective but the order was quickly replaced. Laptop is much faster now. Couldn't be happier. Cheap upgrade for the performance boost.

This RAM kit (two pieces of 1 GB each) was a good price, arrived quickly and was easy enough to install into my Dell Inspiron 6000.

These sticks did the job.The laptop is back at normal operating speed. And no microsoft updates to slow it down anymore.

It doesn't work with XP, period! My inspiron 6000 had originally home XP in it with 1 GB RAM. I bought this 2 GB RAM and it didn't work with XP. I had to buy vista to make it work. I was gonna buy vista but not this way. Very bad product.
