All I use
I started using these a few years ago, after a long battle with repeated yeast infections :( Embarrassing, but true... after switching to these instead of the conventional brands (tampax, etc.) those infections went away completely. After a 3 year long stretch of having a yeast infection once every 2-3 months, I haven't had one since switching brands 2 years ago. I don't know that this was cause & effect, but there certainly is a big correlation. I also like that they are so small & I can hide them away in many discrete places. At first, I was creeped out by not using an applicator, but now I'm completely used to it and appreciate the fact that I don't have those gross applicators in my bathroom trash can.

almost as good...
It was really nice having a huge stash of supplies (the pack of 12) that lasted a long time. I just had to run to the store to buy other ones for certain days and kept these for light days. This product is almost as good as the "O.ther B.rand" but not quite! It was a comforting thing to have purchased an earth friendly product that was fairly comparable, but it was honestly not the same. They work fine most of the time but you have to use more of them since they do not absorb as much. Also, try to get a variety of sizes or the correct size for you. The size that I would have used mostly in the OB I have to use a size larger in seventh generation.

Excellent product
I stopped using regular (chlorine-bleached) tampons maybe 5 years ago after learning about the possible adverse health effects. These tampons are great. There is absolutely no difference regarding quality with any major brand-name tampons, and I feel much safer. They are a great buy, especially when you figure out the amount spent for these vs. similar organic tampons at a local health-food store. I like to support local business, but I am not wealthy and have a hard time paying $8-$9 for a box of 16 tampons. Give me a break! I just wish that Amazon would carry these in the "with applicator" version, which Seventh Generation makes. I like to have both on hand. Buy them.

Not a good product anymore. Not a good company.
These previously were made of better quality materials and were a better value. The prices have been increased to the point where I will look for better option in the marketplace. I think that I will be happier spending my money with a company that doesn't prioritize their political agenda over the quality of their products.

Product review
Without the applicator, this product is extremely difficult to use. I love seventh generation and the idea of a healthier tampon alternative, but I bought a mega pack of these and now I can't use them. I wish they would design them with a biodegradable applicator. Until then, I will be going with another brand.

Best tampons I've ever used
Best tampons I've ever used, and I've used tampons for 12 years. For heavy periods, I use these tampons plus the fabric pads and it has saved me a ton of money, 6 months or greater of a tampon supply, all for 50-something bucks. If you like OB tampons, you'll love these more... They're cheaper and without irritation caused by that slickening agent added to the OB ones.

Uncomfortable
I'd heard many times, "If you insert it correctly, you won't even feel it," and many times, no matter how I inserted it, it was uncomfortable. I was hoping that things would be different with the Seventh Generation brand, as I am a fan of their other products, but I had no such luck. I could feel it stabbing me whenever I stood or sat. It's wonderful that Seventh Generation is working toward safer feminine hygiene products, but I'm much happier with my DivaCup than I ever was with any tampon.

Great tampons, lame wrappers
Love these, and love that I was able to buy what I am guessing will last a year, but each one individually wrapped in tight plastic? Is that really necessary?? The wrappers are really hard to get off, then the static makes them cling to everything once I do get them off. Chlorine free and organic is a plus, shouldn't be a choice to have chemicals in tampons...gross! Glad these are available.
