Go buy the 4k version if you have a 4K tv and 4K blu Ray Player. You will not be disappointed.
The Ten Commandments in blu Ray is excellent BUT the 4k version is just stunning, I have about 60 4K films and this is by far the best one, the colours just pop out of the screen, the picture is very clear and sharp and being 1,85.1 it fills the screen. The only little disappointment is that it is not in Dolly Atmos, having said that the sound is still very good. If you are a collector of 4K movies this is a must to have in your library.I do not normally write reviews but this film is sooo good I will give it 10 Stars.

The pinnacle of 4K picture
Wow! That’s all I could think watching this in 4K on an OLED display. Vistavision makes for a seamless 4K transfer. Firstly, the aspect ratio is great in that it makes full use of your TVs dimensions, adding to immersion. The detail is incredible, you can see so much! Water looks like it will spill out of your screen. The colours pop, particularly the Egyptian scenes and costumes. The commemoration scene in the beginning of the film, when Moses returns to Seti with spoils, is captivating. I can say this disc is the best I have seen so far (I have not seen Lawrence of Arabia yet, thus I cannot compare these). If you want a disc to show off the power of 4K to your friends this is the one. It’s amazing that a film from 1956 looks better than every modern movie put out today.

Wonderful 4K transfer
It’s hard to believe that this marvellous film originates from 1956 as the 4K transfer is simply amazing. There is very little grain and the colours are really vibrant due to HDR. The film has been reviewed many time before and there is little I can add. except to confirm it’s quite spectacular. Of course it’s a little dated at times , it’s 65 years old and I suspect none of the main actors are no longer with us. I hope Ben Hur will have a similar release. Highly recommended.

Classic 1950's film
It's an impressive film and performance of a biblical epic starring some famous stars of the period. They don't make films like this anymore. The 4k presentation shows the film at its best but whether I Will want to view it again is probably unlikely. It's a long film!

The 4K is staggeringly good - for 65 year old stock!
I had read that the 4K version was good. But I've had extremely varied results when 'upgrading' older DVD's to BR, so I was sceptical. But - I happen to think this Cecil B. DeMille film is a true classic so, fingers crossed, I decided to risk my £20.I am very fortunate to have a good Sony 4K player and a high-end 4K OLED TV; even so, the results were well beyond my expectations - and that doesn't often happen with film upgrades.I had read that the 'colours pop' - they really do! (Not excessively, just impressively)To factor in that this film was released in 1956, what I saw on screen was breath-taking.So do I think it was worth the money? Guess....!

4K Review - The Ten Commandments - Movie Collector's Perspective
The blu ray revamp a few years ago already made this classic look better than ever and I upgraded to this 4k issue from the recent Premium Collection release. The 4K treatment has made this near 4 hour epic one of the best examples of 4k resolution. The Exodus and Red Sea sequence is glorious! If you like this film then have the best version possible! Go 4k!
