Burt's Bees Carrot Nutritive Day Cream, 2 OZ

I REALLY like this product. It smells a lot like pumpkin pie but not as strong and I've never used a face cream that smells anything like this. It's really dreamy, actually. Much like holiday "comfort food" but for your face. (It really does put you in a pleasant state of mind.) And the consistency is very silky and well-blended yet a tad thick. (This is NOT a product that you would copiously slather on. Use sparingly.) Even though it's thick (and probably should be a night cream instead), it is so creamy and smooth that it seeps into the skin quickly. You just can't use a ton of it.This is really a dreamy product that I fell in love with instantly, mostly based on the smell and creamy consistency. I use this with  Burt's Bees Naturally Ageless Intensive Repairing Serum, 0.45 Fluid Ounces . I put the serum on my clean face first and then follow it up with this day crème...then I'm done! Super easy! I can't give a testimonial on whether it's helped with wrinkles because their Burt's Bees Naturally Ageless Intensive Repairing Serum does plenty of that. I just needed a "follow-up" cream for my very basic face care regimen and this cream is it! It's a thousand times better than the other Burt's Bees day cream I used.

This is great cream but I use it more at night, it's too rich for me for the daytime. Love most of Burt's products.

My expectations were very high for Burt's Bees - Carrot Nutritive Day Creme. For one thing, it's Burt's Bees, a brand of which I am a fan. For another thing, you can't beat the ingredients - and there are a lot of them - sunflower oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, beta-carotene, rosemary, aloe - to name just a few. Yet, somehow - in this case - these fantastic ingredients combine to yield a product that's just average. Contrary to what the box advertises, this creme is not lightweight, though it does absorb well into the skin. Because of its somewhat heavy oily feel, I'm actually using it more for my hands and body than for my face. Who knows, by the time I finish the jar - and given the price, I do plan to finish it - I may like it more than I do now; but it's doubtful that I'll order it again. There are too many other products that work just as well and are cheaper, like Pond's Rejuveness; or that are a little more expensive and a lot more effective, such as Olay Total Effects 7 in One Moisturizer.

I had high hopes for the product as I like other Burt's Bees items, but this one is not good. It is greasy and leaves a yellowish tint on your face. The scent is very bad and lasts all day. It does not moisturize. It caused a reaction on my face of small red bumps and inflammation. I tried to return it, but apparently it is not eligible for return/refund. Very dissatisfied about that. I will throw it away as it can't be used.

I really like Burt's Bees products. This product would make a better night cream than day cream. It is too heavy and made my face break out (and I rarely ever breakout, because I have dry skin.

I started using the night creme years ago with great results and finally decided to buy the day creme and see what I thought of that. I LOVE IT! the night creme is a heavier, oily-like, texture, but not the day creme at all. This is a very light creme. It is ever so slightly oily, but in a great way. My skin feels so soft and healthy when I use this, and it gives it a wonderful, healthy, glow.Be warned that this product does have a strange smell to it. It's "carrot" nutritive, and that's what it smells like to me. However, my guy claims it smells like "play-doh". I don't see that at all, but that's his take. I find the smell to be refreshing.

The jury is out. Around 8 to 10 years ago I started using this and really enjoyed the light whipped texture and the way it made my skin feel. I was previously able to purchase it locally and then suddenly it was no longer around. I casually search for it for several years and then I have three kids and all thoughts of self-preservation came to a screeching halt. Recently I decided to test it out and look on Amazon. I ordered a jar and it just doesn't seem to be as effective or as smooth and whipped textured as it used to be. I can't say that I've noticed any difference since I began using it and I will likely use the entire jar, but if I don't see something miraculous happen I will not be reordering it. It seems as though the formula has been changed in someway, perhaps when the birds bees company was sold? Not only am I not seeing any difference in facial texture or coloration, I really don't "enjoy" using it like I used to.

love it, smell not so much but it does the trick and keeps my face and hands well moisturized!

I love Burts Bees but they have really let themselves down with this! Too thick for a day cream and I don't even want to put it near my face as it isn't a nice smell at all! Very disappointed.
