Nokia Lumia 920 Hybrid Rubberized Back Cover Case (Black)

I picked up two of these for our Lumia's.They function as intended, the light rubberized "coating" or spray will eventually fade, hence the amazing low price. That said, the cover does a great job at protecting the back and corners of the phone and allows wireless charging to work well.This "skin" does not protect the screen very much if at all. I'm used to laying my phones on their faces to listen to the audio, or when flipping a device for silence.However, coming from an Android device I find this to be a bad habit, as I adapt to being on windows phone I find that this is no longer necessary.On an Android, your manufacturer (Samsung, HTC) may have enabled "flip for silence" in which you can flip the phone over to mute incoming calls or to turn on the speaker. This is actually not a great thing for the screen unless you have a screen protector or place it on a soft cloth to avoid scratches.With the Nokia Lumia 920, you simply don't need to do this. Incoming calls can be ignored with a quick swipe and tap, you can even respond with a text message.Having the phone face down has no real value over having it face up because the audio ports are at the bottom for music and speakerphone chat, so no need to do that. This was the hardest thing for me to overcome s a habit. Additionally, the bonus of having the skin case on, the rubberized coating gives the phone grip. No more sliding off my armrest when watching TV.The one time my phone fell from my counter and hit the floor, it landed on one of the corners, the case was dented from the fall, but the phone itself did not get any damage at all. That's a 3 foot fall without damage! this could be due to the inner felt type soft lining as well because my phone has no marring or scratches. I occasionally take the skin off to check for dust or other things between them. So far so good.While I don't expect this $5 case to replace common sense, or perform equal to a $50 fort Knox case type cover, I really do like what it does for my phone. If you insist on a product to protect the screen, find a high quality screen protector. Alongside this skin, you'll have a complete package that will add little or no bulk to your favorite phone.

If you're looking for a case that is not bulky but will protect your phone from light use then this it the perfect case.This is a very thin low profile shell so it doesn't add much bulk to an already large phone. It's a hard plastic shell that wraps around the sides and back of the phone, so it provides protection from minor drops on the corners but doesn't lift corners or sides so there is no protection for the face when laying flat like some full cases can provide. Absolutely a perfect fit for the Lumia 920. Loses one star for lack of grippyness since it is advertised as being rubberized. Granted, it's grippyer than the matte finish, but not by much; it still tends to slip out of my pocket at times and even my hands when dry.Pros.+very thin+perfect fit+buttons/speakers/sensors are not obstructed at all+looks good; allows colored phones color to peek through in areas giving a very sleek unique lookcons.-not as grippy as expected-no protection from laying phone on it's face

If your intention is to preserve the form factor of the Lumia 920 while adding a normal-to-low degree of protection, then this is the case for you. I would not trust this case to protect the phone from an accidental drop. However, it will protect the back from scratches and normal wear and tear that is expected from the daily use of holding the phone and carrying it in a bag or pocket. The material seems similar in look and texture to the back of your phone, so, at least for the black Lumia, it almost appears that there is no case. Another good thing is that it raises the back profile by a few millimeters, just enough to prevent the camera lens from touching the resting surface - this is important in preventing it from scratches, which would eventually cause blurry pictures.Use it in conjunction with a screen protector, and you should have decent all round protection, without adding bulk and ruining the form and the black color factor of the phone.

This is a very thin, form fitting case for your Lumia 920 phone. Like the other reviews, the case is not really rubberized, I'd classifiy it as 'soft touch'. It provides more grip than the naked phone but not a lot. Slots and cut-outs provide interference free access to the buttons while the bottom and top have no cover at all. The cover is thin so don't expect it to survive a 4' fall onto concrete, it'll do for a tumble off the kitchen table onto the wood floor but that's about it. The glass will not be protected but the sides and back will be protected by scuffs and scratches. Overall, I'm happy with it, I also own a leather phone sleeve with belt clip and gigantic 'Speck' plastic case. Both are quite huge compared to the Terrapin case. I use the Terrapin case most often.

I'll be honest, I am extremely careful with my devices and would not recommend this case to someone who is looking for protection on all sides. "Barely there" type cases are good to protect against surface scratches/scuffs and not much else, while giving your device a cool look.I gave this particular case 5 stars because of the cost, sturdiness, design, and the material. The material may be a tad lighter than similar cases that cost twice or three times as much, but I don't see this breaking or fracturing anytime soon. It is very well manufactured too, with no rough edges, etc. It is a harder shell with a soft rubbery feel/grip to it. After a few days of use it is not scuffed or scratched at all. I will certainly give Terrapin another look when searching for cases, which is quite often.

The description states that this case is rubberised but it is in fact not, it's hard and slippery. I bought it to stop the phone slipping out of my sons pocket and its useless. Not as expected, the description is misleading, don't buy if you are expecting rubberised. It did arrive in good time.

Nachdem mein Lumia 920, bei einem leichten Stoß bereits Mallessen davongetragen hat, habe ich mich sehr geärgert, denn als ich es kaufte gab es noch keine Schutzhüllen und dann habe ich nur eine Lederhülle gekauft. Man nimmt es heraus zum telefonieren, dann rutscht es aus der Hand und schon ist es passiert. Diese Hülle fand ich nun bei Amazon. Sie erfüllt für wenig Geld seinen Zweck. Sehr zu empfehlen

Kann die Hülle leider nicht mehr uneingeschränkt empfehlen.Sie passt sehr genau, lässt sich auch einfach wieder lösen und umschliesst das Handy wirklich gut.Aber nach nur einem Monat löst sich bei mir schon die Gummischicht und das sieht natürlich nicht mehr so toll aus.Die Schicht scheint auf einer Art Folie zu sitzen die sich nun langsam an den Ecken und Knöpfen löst.von daher:Schutz ++Passform ++Aussehen +Verarbeitung --

Nice, solid hard cover that works well with the straight edge design of the Nokia Lumia 920. It is a good product, but the silk/rubber coating of the cover rubs off, slowly, I am sorry to have to say. Otherwise 4 or even 5 stars.[Sorry to do this in English, but my German writing contains to many grammatical errors. :-)]

Simple coque rigide et légère, elle est facile à placer, elle s'agrippe bien et protège efficacement le corps du Lumia 920. Les 3 boutons de commande, les prises USB et du casque restent parfaitement accessibles. L'objectif de la camera et le flash, bien dégagés, sont néanmoins à l'abri de griffes ou coups. Seul l'écran en fait n'est pas protégé. Pour conclure et simplement dit, cet accessoire a un excellent rapport prix/qualité.
