NTSC/Region 0. André's fans have been looking forward to this moment for nearly a year: the DVD of this summer's Vrijthof concert in Maastricht. It was a fantastic event once again, with tens of thousands of people coming from all over the world to enjoy it. If you missed it, now is your chance to catch up. As always with André, Wonderful World is a brilliant product, bringing you a fabulous summer evening concert in Maastricht. The Platinum Tenors sing a world-famous aria from Georges Bizet's 'The Pearl Fishers' and the well-known 'Amor, vida de mi vida'. Carmen Monarcha shines as Madam Butterfly, Donij Van Doorn sings the Vilja song with great passion and Mirusia Louwerse steals everyone's heart with a song from The Phantom of the Opera. Once again this year André invited some very special guests for the Vrijthof concert: the pan flute musician Gheorghe Zamfir and a range of Romanian musicians and dancers, who provided the stunning finale to a fabulous concert.

The quality of the video and sound is great.
Bought this for my dad. he is a big Andre Rieu fan but only had three DVD's that he watches. I decided that he needed to expand his collection, so i bought this DVD and one other. It is typical Andre Rieu. He loves it! The quality of the video and sound is great.

If you love music and what it means to the soul
If you love music and what it means to the soul, Andre Rieu and his orchestra is a true epiphany! Classical, contemporary, pop, religious, or folk Andre's arrangements bring a full spectrum of emotion to the listener. Grown men tear up from just plain felt joy or a memory of some lost love or lifetime experience. When I listen and/or watch Andre's DVD I feel like I am overdosing on a bottle of happiness pills. Andre Rieu's concert at Maastricht is on my bucket list.

Great performance, and acceptable video quality.
Some Andre Rieu DVD's have medicore video qualities at best, but this, albeit a tad more expense, is acceptable. Exceptional? No. From a program point of view, what is there not to like about Andre Rieu? Top-rate material and performances!

The DVD is a wonderful reminder of my visit to Maastricht, NL and my attendance at this concert by Andre' Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra. As always the concert was magical!

A whole evening's quality entertainment in a box
André Rieu gives great value for money. Always entertaining and goes on and on and on. Because most people, of all ages, seem to enjoy, its great for keeping everyone entertained over Christmas and the like (when there's nowt on the TV). One André Rieu video will entertain for a whole evening. Would have given 5-Stars, but André has started including guest stars, who are usually very second rate. Otherwise excellent. Highly recommended.

Book early!
When booking a Baltic cruise for our 40th wedding anniversary I realised that Andre's week of concerts in Maastricht at the end of his annual world tour was the week before. I could have booked tickets but most of the best seats had already gone. The big problem was that we wanted to fly from home in Spain to Maastricht and then on to Copenhagen in time for our cruise. Unfortunately, I couldn't find direct flights from Maastricht to Copenhagen so tomorrow we fly direct from Spain to Copenhagen. If, like us, an Andre Rieu concert is on your bucket list make sure you plan and book early. We were disappointed but our twin daughters in Australia realised this and a couple of weeks later, on my Birthday, this turned up as part of my present. We watched it in silence and in one sitting and felt we were there in Maastricht Square. Andre is the complete performer and his shows are a reminder of the wealth of talent and culture that exists across Europe. We'll make it another day!

Lovely DVD
A big hit with my parents, this DVD has a lovely, vibrant atmosphere, very typical of an Andre Rieu outdoor concert. Lots of shots of happy, smiling people, dancing, and full of humour, this is one of the best. It's also in English, which is a bonus.

Excellent DVD. In English and has given my 84 year old Mother (with dementia) hours of enjoyment. DVD lasts approx 2.5 hrs and lovely selection of tunes and lovely to see the audience enjoying themselves so much. Thank you Andre Rieu.

I always expect to be disappointed with Andre's latest release but, once again, he has proved that he is the world's greatest showman - and he always introduces something new. the day may aproach when I may tire of him but not yet - definitely not yet.
