Getting to the Heart of Your Chart: Playing Astrological Detective Paperback – April 21, 2012

The author has a way with words. He makes the subject matter interesting as one learns. His chapters include: Intro the the tools, elements, modes, rulers tec. Major assessments, aspects, configurations. Chart themes, speaking ones chart, essays and more. Its a worthwhile purchase, but depends what your looking for. Great for a beginner to learn from, or intermediate and advanced to pick up new ways to analyze a natal chart. It seems as though the author is speaking to you and not "full of himself" so the reader has to wade through mud waist-high. I have many, many astrology books but this one I refer to often.

WOW ~~ this book contains all the little things that you have wondered about in other astrology books or things that never really made sense but you let it ride.....this book is very detailed and clear in its mean of the planets, etc...I more than highly recommend this book without reservation.....Sharon Farley

the book is brand new. the book is as described. But there is more to it than that - it is more than I had thought it would be. As best I can say is it's more complicated than I have time to get into right noe - BUT with that said, what about Astrology isn't deep and complicated? Just a heads up, it's not a " for dummies"application. Not a breeze through book.

I've just started reading this, and already I like his writing style and the way he presents the subject. I would recommend this book to anyone at any level of experience.

Brilliant book to keep close when working a chart. Frank's techniques and his processes are solid and workable. If you're like me and just keep a few references handy (Thompkins Astrologers Handbook and Bill's Rulership Book) this is a great add and helps to limit the deep dives into your full library.

Frank's book was absolutely excellent. I found this text an amazing help for beginners, intermediate people and even advanced astrologers who are professionals. I loved his cameo sketches of various people. These cameo's illustrated various astrological areas of importance. I will keep Frank's book next to my computer when I do charts. I also liked his reminder to all astrologers never to be judgemental when we are analysing charts. I did realise that Frank had such an extensive background in astrology. I will recommend his book to all my friends.

Astrology is not easy to learn and you can get caught up in lots of unimportant, minor issues. As the title suggests, this book will help you get to the really important issues and lays out a very flexible, powerful set of methods that will make understanding charts much easier. Even if you’ve been studying astrology for years this book will sharpen your eye and help you be more insightful when reading charts. Highly recommended!

This astro book by Frank Clifford is a super astrology textbook. All the many very useful charts of well known people are very well explained. It's an indipensable astro book and a real must to be have on hand.
