COVERGIRL Plumpify BlastPro Mascara Black .44 fl oz (13ml) (Packaging may vary)

From the name of this brand I was expecting eyelashes that plumped up dramatically. I didn’t get that with this. It’s a good mascara, but it’s not any different from other good mascaras that I’ve tried. I’d recommend it for someone seeking a solidly good mascara.

I have long lashes . I put on 2 coatings. This is fair. Its was only 3.99 so i put 4 stars. I would only give it 3 stars. Its smelly and U cant find the exp date. It's not the best or the worst. I was expecting more volume.

The brush is much too large and unless you have extremely long and lush lashes this will not work well

Gets very clumpy, not a good look for a 70 yo

When I got it, in the mail the box to the mascara was torn, didn’t look professional boxed, which made me think that the box might have been Tampere with.

I tried the new Covergirl Plumpify Mascara and to my surprise it elongated my eyelashes instantly. When I first tried it out, I was r a fan of the brush as its so big and I wasn't used to it. I do see the difference in my lashes though after a full day of having the mascara on. I personally don't like a lot of mascara on my lashes, so I don't over do it. I found my lashes got long instantly once I applied, but I wouldn't say they were Voluminous. I much prefer Covergirls super sizer mascara. The mascara lasted all day as promised, and it was an easy wipe off at the end of the day. I still have not got used to the wand and not sure if I will.Thanks Covergirl for letting me try the product for free in return for an honest review!

I was chosen to be part of a BzzAgent Campaign for Cover Girl Plumpify Mascara. Cover Girl sent me a tube of this mascara, (along with some coupons) for me to try and review. I am not new to the Cover Girl brand, I have used a lot of their makeup over the years. It's a good, budget friendly brand with some great products. I was excited to try this mascara as I am always on the lookout for THE perfect mascara. After 30 years, I still haven't found one. My first impression of this mascara when I opened it up was, "Wow, I love this brush!". It's got a great shape to it and I was looking forward to using it. My lashes are on the longer side but very light in colour. I definitely NEED mascara and I like a more dramatic look, so I need my mascara to coat well and thicken my lashes to really make them pop. After one coat, I didn't see much difference. A second coat provided a bit of "pop" but not what I was looking for. I applied a third coat and that made quite a difference. My eyelashes were more visible definitely, but I don't feel they were any thicker, which is really what I was wanting and expecting. Overall, I like the look it gave me, but I didn't LOVE it. Plus I normally only put on two coats of mascara but to get the same results with Cover Girl Plumpify, I had to put on three coats. I did like that it stayed put on my lashes throughout the day and came off very easily with some eye makeup remover at night. Overall, I liked the mascara but I didn't love it.

I received this product free to test and review from BzzAgent. Covergirl wasn't lying when they said that the Plumpify mascara had their biggest brush ever. The brush is supposed to create voluminous lashes from the base, but it's difficult for the brush to reach the base of your lashes without the bristles pricking at your lash line. The brush is created of a hard plastic with long bristles twisting around it. But the brush is created in such a way that the mascara's formula can't even cover all of the bristles. You can still see the original red colour of the brush that is present before you dip your brush in the formula, even after several uses and swirling the brush in the container. The brush is also so large that it has difficulty going in and out of the tube. While applying the mascara, the large applicator makes it uncomfortable to apply the mascara. One has to be careful not to prick their lash line with the hard bristles, and careful not to touch their eyelid or brow area while coating the tips of the lashes. The formula itself though is good, which makes the brush the disappointing feature. Removing the mascara at the end of the day is easy, which was a refreshing change as I usually use a waterproof formula that is difficult to remove. The formula does give a nice curl to my lashes, my lashes are defined, the formula doesn't clump, or flake throughout the day. The mascara gives a more natural curl and lift to my lashes, which is nice if I want a makeup-free makeup look, but I like having volume, thickness and oomph in my lashes. I've never needed to curl my lashes before, but I need to curl them in order to get maximum volume from this product. Because I liked the formula and not the brush, I thought I would be clever and screw on the applicator of my Super Sizer mascara onto the neck of this bottle. However, it didn't work. All in all, I loved the formula of this mascara, but the brush was too large and gimicky for me to enjoy. If the product had a different brush, I probably would have liked it more. For now, I can use one coat of this mascara to use the formula, and use my old Super Sizer brush to get the volume that I crave for my lashes.
