PAID :: $34.95 - 2/27/16 - Seems pricey for a 'plastic' shockmount, when the handles so heavy duty. (Least make the cold shoe mount aluminum if you provide a full aluminum handle.) Not expecting a full aluminum cage on the Shockmount.PURPOSE :: Need better windscreen than the "Zoom" access. kit version. Shockmount will be used for my video rig.RESULTS :: Windscreen works fine, could be denser, but it's much better then foam option. Shockmount Cage is cheap plastic, nothing is metal. Bands are tight, but the Zoom H1 fits fine. You can position it in the cage so that NO buttons are pushed or damaged. I would not use any excessive force in the Shockmount . The surprise of the kit is the handle! It's a very solid piece of metal w/foam grip. Extra bands are provided for the Shockmount & are appreciated ;)CONCERNS :: Shockmount is so cheaply made & the bands so tight that it feels like minimal force removing/installing your mic will result in cracks near the cold shoe mount base. (Consider removing Shockmount from cold shoe prior to any H1 install/removal.)The handle is great it's weight begs one request...It has a typical 1/4" threaded end, would like to of seen a 3/8" end along with a 1/4" reducer Included.Windscreen is fine w/minimal shedding, mine doesn't shed really at all other then the threads that fell out during shipping/handling.FINAL OPINION :: As long as you are not rough or in a hurry with the cage, it's adequate. I have had mine for few months now & have no issues to date. The handle is great, no noise transfers to the H1 via grip that is unreasonable. Windscreen is fine but beaches/storms/yelling may push its limits...works far better then foam. In fact this kit is far more useful for my purposes then Zoom's own Zoom APH-1 Accessory Pack for H1 Handy Recorder:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::UPDATES :: Some 'noise/vibration' still gets through the Shockmount, but for H1 Handy users it works good enough & the bands can be 'adjusted' to avoid de-pressing buttons on your H1 Handy's sides. Also the fuzzy* windscreen functions better then the foam version by far. (*some shedding, but nothing too bad)I have found a use for the handle that's a little unexpected. It actually positions well on my Opteka X-GRIP EX PRO Metal Video Action Stabilizing Handle for Digital SLR Cameras and Video Camcorders . Received the wrong shock mount, but seems to be working just fine.

Really disappointed in this combo. H1 is nearly un-useable in this cage. Handle is a heavy chunk of aluminum. Muff looks like it will effective. They should sell it with the Movo SMM5 isolator, then H1 control access is easy. DOH! But the H1 housing is so microphonic, it's for emergency use only.

although i have movo mic, i bout it to use with zoom h1n recorder. they are pricier than others but they are better.

This does exactly what I wanted. Any handling of the recorder (I use it with a zoom H1) easily heard in the recording without the mount. With the mound there is no transferred vibration to the recorder. I took one star off because the handle which screws off the mount is made of steel. It could have been made out of aluminum and weigh far less. It isn't that heavy but every ounce counts when you're carrying gear. Otherwise as far as isolation it is performed well.

Hard to get near the controls ...This product is great...it's the way the buttons are on the Zoom H1 that make it hard to operate.
