With some mechanical/electrical aptitude, a self install should not be difficult.
My son and I just installed this in his car tonight. It was pretty straight forward. They recommend that it be installed by a professional. If you have a mechanical/electrical aptitude and know a little about cars, you will likely be fine. We had zero issues aside from trying to find space to securely mount everything under the dash.

Awesome remote start system. Took me about an hour to install but could do it in 20 minutes if I did it again. Very easy install, most people could do this. 3 wiring harnesses where you unplug original, and add in the new plugs. The starter wire is the brown one on the corner of the push to start button and that's the only wire you need to splice into for this to work. I just scraped off the rubber with a razor blade and twisted on the new wire. Wrapped with electrical tape and it was all set. Small programming phase, maybe 4 steps. I had to google the starter brand to figure out how to do it but it was simple something like install the key, hit the brake and then start it or something like that. There is one other wire that is optional to splice into. It is under the passenger side door runner and the wire there controls the lights and radio and makes them turn off if you dont get in the car within the 15 minute timer. The car shuts off after 15 minutes if you dont get in, and the accessories will stay on until you open and close the door. Your battery will drain but if you only use it when you know you'll get in the car, then you dont really need it

Designed to limit DIY'ers
I'm pretty sure this would be super easy to install if the programming phase could be completed by a none-dealer. Basically, the website you grab the firmware from requires you to be a dealer. Like really? Its 2019, most people are more tech and program savvy then people who are "pro-installers". Its like having be mechanic to install a fuse....

Good system.
Remote start kit for 2013 G37 sedan. It is a very comprehensive system that is relatively easy to install. It wasn't completely plug and play - I had to splice 2 wires. 1 to the push button harness and one to the door switch power (retained accessory power). Everything else was plug and play. Took me about an hour to install with almost no hikkups. After installing, it first wouldnt start because "remote start safety override switch" on the harness was in "on" position. After turning it off it started right away. Also there is a lot of tutorials on YouTube that you can look up to see if it's something you want to do. When you receive the package it has a lot of warnins and stickers trying to discourage you from doing it yourself, because this brand has no support for diy market, but mine came in pre flashed to my car and I had no problems getting it working as a diy-er. Overall I'm very happy with it and will be helping my brother install one on his car.

Youtube videos + instructions = warmed up car
Fairly easy to install, not for the mechanically-challenged though. Not the sellers fault, and they do recommend you use a professional installer. Everything works great. The instructions did mention a red/black wire for the RAP... I don't have a red/black. But the instructions are thorough and they also give you pin #s so I followed that.

Some wires and harnesses wonโt be used donโt second guess yourself
Product was super easy to instal!! all plug and play besides the one green and black stripe wire that u have to splice onto the brown wire in the push to start harness. Took me about and two hours because of second guessing myself if I did it again it would take me 15-20 mins!! Programming was also super easy.

Easier than you think
The install was easy dont over think the t harness connections and you only need to splice one wire into your push button. It's a great system and I'm happy with my purchase. Install time for me was about 45 min.
