I have taught a special topics course on urban crime for years. I have been waiting for a book such as this one. Good clear summary of major theories all placed in sociological and historical context. Great find.

Am not a huge theorist but I enjoyed the trail of how certain schools of thought developed and how they were updated as time went along.
