First off, this thing is gorgeous. The craftsmanship is intricate and draws attention. Hanging on a wall, it will definitely impress. But, what’s awesome is that it doesn’t have to. I got to work out with this puppy this morning, and it has lived up to my every expectation. It’s heavy at just over ten pounds, so spinning it the way you are supposed to with this bludgeon is a chore. I personally don’t appreciate how all Kung fu weapons have been converted to those light wushu type weapons, where the heavier kwan dao or monk’s spade ends up between three and four pounds. I wanted a real workout, and this thing is fun to throw around. It’s fairly well balanced, so each end helps to keep the turn or spin going. This price seems steep, but to anyone who has been disappointed with the lighter aforementioned wushu type pieces, this thing is well worth it.The one complaint I have, and it may be a deal-breaker to some, is that when you tighten the two halves together, the spade and the half-moon don’t appear parallel. This hasn’t yet bothered me as I’ve been practicing form, but aesthetically it is a flaw. If the seller has any suggestions to solve this, I’d love to hear.Shipping took a while coming from China, and I did have a scare when the two halves arrived in separate packages and six days apart. But that is not on the manufacturer, and much more to do with mail and COVID-19.All in all, awesome piece. I’d give it 4 1/2 stars if I could based on the threading issue, leading to both blades not going parallel.

very well made and has a good heavy weight to it, looks great! You need to make a Kwan Do and other decoratve well made heavy kung fu weapons :)
