So Far, So Great!
Great purchase after a month of use. Easy install and works very well, better than I expected. Rotation is key and the remote controller is handy . It is important to know where your broadcast locations are (see tvfool.com) and also to know if you have Wind Turbines nearby between you and the broadcast locations. If they are far enough away from you it will make no difference, but I am 3/4 mile away from one. Nearby wind turbines will interrupt a perfectly good signal and no antenna can fix that. If you live between good size cities within 60 miles of you, you will pick up a lot of channels. I get up to 60 channels from 8 locations and I am in a bad spot - (50 miles or more from the cities but with hills and wind turbines nearby)Very Happy with this purchase!

Clever design, Works OK, but flimsy.
Clever design but flimsy. Took about 15 minutes to assemble; you need patience, dexterity and a small Phillips head screwdriver; also requires a 1" or 1.25" pole to mount. Performance is good--pulls in a strong signal for most digital channels, but completely misses others. The control buttons for both the control box and the remote are very flimsy and don't work reliably. For example, if you push a button to pivot the antenna one way, it's equally likely it will pivot the other way. If you can't see the antenna while you're operating the control, you will have no idea where you're aiming. Still you can't expect too much for the price, and it beats the cheaper planar antenna I tried.

Good performance, bargain price, C- on build quality
Cons: The build quality is not impressive--which is not unexpected at the price. But now that I've tested the antenna, I may pull it down and bond some of the plastic elements with epoxy for extra strength. The rotator works, but it has no position indicator, so it's not much use unless you can see what direction the antenna is pointed from your TV-watching position. The instructions aren't great, but I had no trouble putting the antenna together--really pretty simple IMO.Pros: My old antenna gave me 21-22 stations on a channel scan, 25' above ground level. The best I got with this antenna on the same mount, with the antenna pointed in one fixed position (not rotating), was 31 stations--a fairly significant improvement. I had decent signal quality on a station 50 miles away, which is pretty good. And this antenna is very directional, as it should be. Inside the house, testing before I put it up, a station 30 miles to the west was strong and clear with the antenna pointed toward it. Point the antenna 90 degrees to due south and the western station disappeared and southern stations were strong and clear. Turn off the amp and local stations are still strong but distant ones aren't; the amplifier is clearly helpful and effective.Overall: The rotator doesn't do me any good but even so, this antenna (for me, YMMV) is a heck of bargain. If it lasts through the winter, I'll be delighted, but at this price I won't mind buying another one in 6-8 months anyway. :-) Darned good antenna at the price!

Update and update on the update
I had a problem with my antenna but the customer service was so great that I had to give this antenna a 5 star rating. The reception is great and the cost is a real bargain. I did have a small problem with the directional control on the motor but I have learned to live with it and it is not a problem. I would recommend that you test the directional controls before installing this unit. A very easy process will save you time later. It is very simple to hold the unit on a short staff and operate the controls, this will prove that it is working properly.I would recommend this product and I would order it again. I now would not reorder!!!!After 7 months the control unit bit the dust. No amplifier (this worked great when working) and no antenna rotor which did not work very well to begin with. I am not going to remove the antennae which is on a 25' mast so I ordered another amplifier from Amazon. What I have found is that with a good amp you do not need to move the antenna but very rarely so I will do that by turning the mast.Just not a real quality product.WELL, guess I am a little slow, I thought I would order another one and use parts to get my original going again BUT, guess what? ANSWER: The new one is a used one and is a piece of junk. How is this possible? 1. it is against the law to sell a used product as new, 2. Fulfilled by Amazon, to me that means I should get the quality shipping and product that Amazon stands for. 3. I think (my personal observation) (ran out of characters)

Amazing
I ordered this because I wanted to see if I could get OTA signals where I live, 45 miles from the transmitter towers and didn't want to spend a lot of money to find out. Well I found out that this frail little piece of plastic and aluminium really does work. On the first scan I pulled in 40 stations. My only worry is will it stay together in the desert winds we have here. I did not have any problem with the directions, but you have to be a little ambidextrous to put the directors together. I would also like to see them put a termination so you could plug it into existing cable,I had to cut the line at both ends to work with my cable. It has a proprietary connection on the terminal end so you cannot use a regular 75 ohm cable connector, so if you are using your existing cable or satellite line you have to make another cut and splice in the line. I would like to see them make a model without the rotor and make it a little sturdier. All in all you could not get a better antenna for the price,it really does work.
