Marula Oil Facial Oil

It may seem counterintuitive to put oil on your face- if you have problematic or acne prone skin or even combo/oily skin. THIS IS DIFFERENT!!! I always apply this oil to a freshly cleansed face within 2 minutes of patting my skin dry. The oil gets absorbed and doesn't leave my skin feeling like I applied Crisco. This oil is hand harvested/pressed from a nut in Africa. The tree from which the nut comes can withstand dry drought like weather and yet the nut's oil has more antioxidants, fatty acids, minerals and omega oils (beneficial aspects) than Argan oil or any other natural oil. It is a natural anti aging oil, can help to fight acne and reduce scars due to it's high antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. I use this in conjunction with a serum from Shiseido. The Marula oil helps boost the efficacy of other products, so you can use it in combo if you want.The top/lid of the bottle will pop up as you twist the bottle top open-- this acts as a button to release the oil that gets sucked up in the dropper attached to the bottle top which makes dispensing a no brainer. And when you close the lid, the button on top goes back down. Very helpful packaging.Amazon has a better price than Sephora. I love this oil so much I've bought it as gifts for my mother in law and sister. It is really THAT good and when my husband has wind chapped cheeks from being on the water, I make sure to apply it to his face. He says his skin feels softer. If you're concerned about the cost, this bottle will last you a while. But this is well worth the money.

Nice product that appears to moisturize well. I don't have many visible fine lines on my face, but do notice that my skin texture is a bit more vibrant when using this product. As a test, I applied to the tops of my hands (some sun damage) after a scrub for a couple of weeks and haven't seen anything superior to the body butters with Shea I've used. I've tried Argan oil too, and this product seems to provide a slightly better result on the face. The price, however, would have me rethinking a second purchase. Not to say, I wouldn't, but I'd seriously give it thought.

I love this stuff. I've got combination skin and have had a hard time finding something that gets rid of flakes and keeps pores from getting clogged. This does both! It's so good that I've gotten in the habit of skipping a face wash and often only do it once a day now since I don't break out anymore. You just need a little drop, if you get your hand wet it spreads easier. If you use too much you'll be shiny! It also works wonders for sunburn. If I get a bad burn I put some of this on and heal 4 times as fast. It lasts for many months, much longer than lotions since you only need a tiny drop. I've even used it under my eyes when I ran out of eye cream and it kept me comfortable.

I have dry skin and rosacea. This is one of the only skin care products I’ve used that results in visibly better skin. I have tried all sorts of oils on my skin (coconut, jojoba, squalene, argon, olive) and none of them made my skin look anything other than oily. I had to use it daily for a few weeks to see a real difference, but it was there. I wish they would change the bottle top. You can never really tighten the top down. You can close it, but I can’t throw it in my gym bag or purse for travel because the top unscrews too easily.

So I really liked this oil BUT the container is awful! 3/4 of my oil if not more ended up going to waste. I travel for work and no matter what I did to try and keep this container closed it would leak. Finally after a day of travel all of the oil was spilled out and gone to waste. For $70 oil and not even getting to use half of it for this reason I won’t purchase again unless they change the bottle type.

Feels great on my face. Oil works in and does not remain oily, however, I do have dry skin. Don't know if I have noticed a lot of difference in age spots or any other aging going on.

I first tried Marula oil at a spa in Chicago. I then started ordering it online. Just a few drops and my skin feels like silk. I have combination skin and still this is fine to use. I have used Sunday Riley Juno and yet I still like this one better. **There are times during the summer where i will only use it nightly due to the humidity during the day. This does not make my skin break out at all.
