Good pair of sandals zero
Very comfortable I’ve bought these before they always last me a year which I’m happy with because I’m always outside working in the yard, fishing, camping or even running errands in them. Every type of sandal like this will start to smell and pull cords loosen and stretch so paracord will fix string and a diluted bleach spray works also. I just feel for about $100 it’s worth buying knowing that they will last about a year. I’ve wanted to extend wearing them another year but tbh they hold sweat and my wife throws them away because smells up our closet even after thoroughly bleaching and using fabric sprays on them but it’s not brand specific as I’ve had every pair of outdoor hiking sandals just reek of salty foot. I live on Lake Huron and wear sandals daily when it’s warm enough and my favorite are Keen, owned probably every type and brand Keen seems to be more comfortable durable and the best brand out there for sandals. For people upset about smell you can probably prolong them by using foot deodorants but tbh I could care less I’m married have a kid last thing I’m worried about is a nice smelling pair of sandals. I work in our garden in these, mow lawn chase after a toddler and these fit my lifestyle perfectly. They are well made my feet are average width for 11 1/2 shoes I buy 12 in sandals and these fit perfectly not snug or loose. Just order a half size up and you’ll be fine.

... on the camino de santiago and they were absolutely perfect for me
I wore these on the camino de santiago and they were absolutely perfect for me. I didn't want to wear a closed hiking boot because I know the heat & sweat would have caused me blisters. We walked about 500 miles over about a month and they kept my feet pain free for the entire journey. I didn't get a single blister :) They kept my feet cool (or much cooler than a closed boot would). They seemed to be able to handle light rain without getting wet inside which was great. We walked one day in heavy constant rain and they did get pretty wet inside as you would expect. I have to say that even when they were wet they were still pretty comfortable. I stuffed them with newspaper in the evening and left them beside a radiator and by the next morning they were perfectly dry.SIZEAs other reviewers have said the fit on these shoes are slightly large. I bought a half size smaller than usual and they were perfect.A couple of minor problems:The quick release lace button on the right shoe was a bit loose so I had to tie a loose knot in the lace to stop it from loosening. No big deal for me really but it could probably be better, the left shoe didn't have the same problem.Stones sometimes got inside the shoe, but this is a sandal with gaps in the side so really that is to be expected. Because the gaps are quite high in the sandle it wasn't very regular that a large stone would get in and only took half a minute to remove it. Again not a big problem for me but worth noting. To finish on positive note, after 500 miles the removable footbed was showing signs of wear, I contacted Keen to ask if they sold the footbed seperately so that I could replace it and they have offered to send me a replacement footbed free of charge :)I have given the shoe 5 stars, despite the one or 2 small things I mentioned, thats because I found them incredibly comfortable and I don't think i could have been happier with any other shoe for walking the camino. I'd defintely buy another pair once these are worn out, which by the look of it coudl be quite a while, they still look practically new.

These will do.
These are pretty decent shoes at a reasonable price.I am kind of hard to fit. Probably I need something like a 16.5 narrow, which I have never found. 16s tend to be just a hair too short, but also almost always too wide, and there aren’t that many choices. These Keens, when cinched up as tight as they go, work for me. And that’s good, since I like to wear sandals at least part of almost every day. These have a pretty stiff sole, which I personally like. They’re pretty stable and have pretty good traction which I also like. They don’t have a lot of padding between my foot and the stiff sole, and that could be better. I’m probably going to experiment with some insoles or something (which might also help with the need to pull the as tight as I can.) But even though the hard soles hurt my feet a bit, they do not aggravate my plantar fasciitis, my Achilles tendinitis, or my Morton’s neuroma, so that is a resounding success. They say they’re waterproof. I’m not sure I believe that, and probably won’t intentionally test it. The way they are shaped I don’t think the water would naturally drain out, and the leather seems unlikely to do well with sustained immersion. Actually, in large part because I am satisfied with the fit of these, I am considering getting some Keen Newport 2 water sandals for use in the water. (It looks like those are softer too, which might help my comfort, though perhaps it would make them less durable as hikers than the Arroyos.)I’ve had these a month or two and, as I said, worn them part of every day, and sometimes all day. I’ve walked a few miles in them on pavement a few times, as well as on wet wood, and they are doing great. They are wearing fine so far, with just some slight wear showing on the bottoms.Probably also relevant - since getting these I have started to follow the Keens Facebook page, so I guess that makes me an official convert.Update: I did try adding insoles - the work great and make for a more comfortable feel. I also bought some Newport 2s. These should be decent water shoes, but I find the stiff heel on the Arroyos and their general good stability far better for walking, especially in rougher terrain. And the stiffer soles will likely hold up better on rocks and even pavement. I almost upgraded these to 5 stars. Maybe I should, but I did have to add insoles to get to that level of satisfaction.
