Best speakers for receiver under $1,200. Bar none.
If you have a receiver that has an 8 ohm output of 100 watts or less, I recommend these over all the more powerful iterations of this series of speakers. Without bi-amping the larger ones, and making your 7.1 into a 5.1, buy these and use the $200 or more difference for a very good subwoofer. I ordered 3 different speakers 2 from Klipsch and the highest end from Polk. The new Polk's sounded WORSE than the 10 year old ones I wanted to replace.(essentially the same speakers no less) They needed bi-amping just to come close (they lacked mid range). The 24f's make optimum sound out of (budget) 100w output. I've compared 4 sets together, at the same time, in my home with an Onkyo Tx-nr787 receiver coupled to a very powerful subwoofer and the high and midrange on these is immaculate. If you want booming bass and want "pure stereo that will blow your hair back without a sub then they're not for you" but if you don't have a powerful enough and no speaker will do that. I am an audiophile who knows that more money doesn't always equate to better performance. If your receiver outputs 150 watts per Channel at 8 ohms natively then absolutely these aren't the speakers for you. but if you want Optimum output from your sub $1200 receiver these are the ones for you.

Keepers of the Sound
My living room is on small side about 15' x 20' with high rise ceilings. These speakers are matched with a Klipsch R-10SW subwoofer and a Marantz NR1604 receiver. The Marantz is 50 watts per channel and I have these speakers bi-amped for my front channels. I have to say these speakers produce some of the cleanest sound that I've ever heard from speakers. It doesn't matter if you listen to them at low levels or at high volume, they produce the full spectrum of level sound, and do it very well. Other reviews say these produce notes on the warm side but I think they do a magnificent job reproducing the mid range up through the high sounds at reference levels. I would recommend getting a solid subwoofer to produce the lower notes. These speakers don't have enough cone area to replicate bass notes on a satisfying level even in a small room. If I ever move into a bigger house, I would likely move these as my back surrounds. But for now, they are doing a magnificent job as my front left and right speakers.Update: after one month listening to these wonderful speakers I got bit by the Klipsch bug again and decided to get the RP-260F set for my fronts. The difference is the 260s sound more spacious. I put the 24Fs in my bedroom and they sound fantastic there with a dedicated subwoofer. If budget allows I'd go for the larger speakers but these R-24Fs do have supurb clarity and hold their own for smaller rooms.

Great highs but not much bass
Dont expect much bass from these towers they fit my need as far as tall and slim and great highs but bass they lack you will need a sub for bass.

Klipsch won't honor thier warranty on NEW products sold on Amazon.
Please be aware that, even if you purchase Klipsch products on Amazon NEW, Klipsch refuses to honor the warranty. Good Luck."I’m sorry to say but the seller “Dealman123” on Amazon is not an authorized dealer. Any products sold by unauthorized dealers are not entitled to Klipsch warranty coverage." Love/hate
Be prepared to have issues. When it works it’s great, 2.5 yrs later and one speaker isnt working correctly. Keep in mind they sat without being used for atleast a year. Thankfully my 15” klipsch subwoofer was less then 2 years so the amp that needed to be replaced in that was still covered under the manufacturing warranty.

KLIPSCH is worth every penny ! Your ears will thank you.
** These Klipsch speakers are AWESOME ***Don't waste your $$ on any other brand. KLIPSCH reproduce any recording as naturally pure a sound as your ears can distinguish. There are SOO many variables to achieving a sound you like and these accomplish the task for me. I like clean, crisp highs with good bottom end, but really rich, mellow soul in the middle. Klipsch is the only speaker I use now.

Really Nice!
I just bought these and set them up to my left and right front speakers in my 5.2+2 setup on my Yamaha RX-V681 reciever that can handle 2 more making it 7.2+2 but I am still trying to wire my back left and rights through the ceiling.I have Boston Accustics speakers in the other areas. The sound is amazing with the new Klipsch reference R-24s. Very clear at low volumes to loud.
