EDITED Review: A+ and 100%
After purchasing (4) of these, this is a 100% stellar review. CHECK your Vortex Sprayer, some items have faulty power supplies, the company stepped and corrected the issue. VIBRANT and AMAZING. Top Notch. Completely perfect for hydro. These Rainforest 66's grow small plants (VEG: 318) to medium plants (VEG: 66). This setup is amazing.Things you should KNOW when growing in the rainforest system:Keep it clean. Water changes with our crop happen every 10 days. We clean and hydrogen peroxide all four of these. 3 minutes to clean, (and trim roots if need be).CHECK that you have SECURED the blue drain valve, or your floor will be wet (and clean) after you fix this.

Make sure all parts are shipped
This is my second RainForest purchase from General Hydroponics. The mist pump works well and the packaged nutrients really did the trick as my plant have grown amazingly fast. My second unit however shipped without an AC adapter . . . which is key to running the unit.

Good idea, bad product.
My vortex pump failed after less than 3 weeks of use and killed all 6 of my plants. The fitting for the drain hose also leaked from the get go. Great concept just not well built. Stick to a DIY DWC system and save the headache!

No coca cups
Once again I order 1 of these and there is no coco cups as described as included thanks for the false advertising

Tips, issues and quality concerns
I have 8 of this units and have made all of the mistakes initially as an amateur. The design and operation are good but there are some issues. The units must be washed and cleaned with mild beach at least every two weeks of use. Expect to be hit with root Aphids which love this type of recirculation system which enter throught the vents around the vortex pump and through the medium in the pots! Be very vigilant! Before each water change dip the roots of the plants in "Pyganic" for the Aphids. The main component, the vortex pump, is good but can be improved in quality. At least two of my pumps have developed separations and hairline cracks around the top base stem and the thin saucer disk that spins. This is only after about 3 months of use. I've mended both of the pumps with plastic epoxy and so far they still are going. Another thing is to make certain that the root guard pipe and collar are fully seated down inside the reservoir, otherwise the bottom of the vortex pump will rub and be noisy against the root guard riser pipe. If the pump is noisy usually this is the issue. Make certain the pump is seated down fully and is plumb so it is not tilting. I'll keep using them and score em about an A- overall.

Huge Results!
This system is very simple and it works better than anything I've ever used before. You just mix up your water and nutrients in the reservoir plug it in and you don't have to do anything until you change your water in a week. I use this along with Botanicare kind and my plants are noticeably bigger everyday.

Way too much missing
No coco cups, no coco caps, and no power cord. Unusable unless I go purchase a power cord and coco cups/caps, which I already paid for.

Bad Power Cord
I got this all set up and the vortex sprayer wouldn't spray. I had to call the company twice but they did resolve the issue. The power cord that came with the unit was not strong enough to power the pump. I was told that this happens all the time, and they immediately sent me a new power cord which solved the problem. Plants are growing well. NOTE: The Amazon ad lists coco liners and caps as part of the kit, but these were discontinued some time ago.
