Excellent for grating cheese and love the slicer for a cucumber dish I make that requires thin slices. Easy clean up too! Makes grating and slicing fast and easy and also fun!

When I received the box, I thought, "Wow..that's so small!" When I opened the box, I thought, "This tiny thing? It's gonna go right back". But decided to take it out and try to attach it to my work-space top, thinking all the while, this thing ti certainly going back! But lo and behold, it stuck to my work counter like glue! Humm..I was impressed, but still not convinced. Then I assembled it, which took all of maybe a minute? I thought, well it sure is easy to set up, but no doubt will Not grate cheese right. But I guess I should at least Try it before sending back.so I took out a block of Parmesan Cheese, and put in the med grating wheel, and in NO time at all, I had grated the block Perfectly! I was amazed, and Very impressed. And it was fun! So then I decided to grate a block of Cheddar, though I already had a full bag of pre-grated stuff, which I hate using but hate bleeding fingers more. Sure enough, almost before I could completely enjoy the experience, it was all Beautifully grated! Oh My! Now I was as excited as if I was opening a new Tech Toy, which has always been thrilling. I was like, Send this marvelous wonder back? Not on your life! This puppy is gonna Live right here on my little work counter, since it takes up very little space, and Deserves a spot here! I found myself wondering if maybe my Neighbor needed cheese grated, but thought better of that action before I ran over there to ask..after all, I have never even visited them! Am I thrilled with this product? I sure as heck am! Tiny, yes, but works fast and great, does just what I needed, and THEN, I discovered cleanup! Fast and also easy. I am in Love with my Ourokhome Manual Cheese Grater, and am ordering one for my niece who will love me forever for this fantastic gift! Do I recommend it? You bet your bippy I do! I did read All the reviews, and can say, read, but let This one guide you! That is, if you want it to grate cheese brilliantly! Haven't tried it on anything else yet, and am in no hurry too. Everything I wrote is true, and I am just sorry it took me so long to Find it!

First of all, this shredder has been a life saver. I mean it! I can't tell you how many times my wife and I would argue over who gets to shred the cheese for a given meal (using the old style metal box shredder). I cut my finger so badly once after my hand slipped and basically shredded the top of my knuckle on my index finger...I'd had enough! Either we buy shredded cheese (good luck finding all the cheeses you like shredded lol) or we find some other solution for shredding cheese...yes, it was this big of a deal lolSo after a few searches on Amazon, this one came up with good reviews and decent price.It does what it needs to very well. Cleaning is easy, snapping together and back apart is just as easy. The suction cup for the base is ridiculously good. I thought I'd be resetting the thing over and over, but on a smooth surface (counter top, kitchen table, etc) it just holds with no fuss. Very surprising and much appreciated. It's as easy as turning a knob to set it and unset it.One minor gripe is that cheese, in particular, gets rolled up pretty easily in the gap between the plastic housing and the shredding tool itself. Pretty easy to get those pieces out, but if left alone it will waste some cheese as it just smears those pieces all over the plastic housing.I had to dock it on sturdiness as there is a part of the shredder that can easily break (ours did). Since the device is mostly modular, including the plastic housing from the suction base, there is an area towards the back of the plastic housing that acts as a filler to create a flush connection between the base and shredding housing. For some reason, the manufacturer made this part removable and because of this, it can get water into it, which then requires you to remove that little piece to allow proper drying. Well, after a few uses and cleaning (and removing that part in question) the snap that holds that piece onto the housing broke. It hasn't affected the stability and connection of the shredding housing to the base, so I'm not sure why they made it this way. But anyway, don't be alarmed if it does break (and it most likely will unless you never remove it...which you'll have to unless you want mildew to build up in that spot)Beyond that, this has become a valuable part of our kitchen!
