Great Product, easy to install and runs very quiet compared to my last one. Go for the 1/2 horsepower, it is worth the few extra dollars

I have told everyone I know that this is the only way I’ll ever buy a garbage disposal. First off cheaper the the two big hardware stores and second the cord is included so no need to wire anything. Money saver and convenient! The nose level is as expected it’s not loud. The size was perfect for my family (3) with normal waste. I like How solid it is. It also has great power. I put A whole carrot down the drain and no issues. 2 person job near the end due to fixing the disposal into place. But super easy.

Bought to replace a 23 y/o garbage disposal. What really impressed us was THE SAME DAY DELIVERY. It shocked the heck out of us & my husband easily installed it in the morning. Obviously, the Insinkerator brand is durable, Has the power we need, has minimal noise, fit well - can still fit things under the sink & to date NO leakage. Next we plan to replace our kitchen disposal & it will be with a Insinkerator.

I purchased this product when my previous garbage disposal went bad. Easy to assemble great product overall. Price was great compared to other stores.

This review would be a 5 star based only on the actual disposal performance as this brand is excellent, thats why I ordered it. The downside for me was I ordered with the power cord and got the disposal without a power cord so I had to wire the power cord from the old disposal to this one and I am no electrician or really even much of a handyman to begin with so I wasn’t excited about doing that. (They did refund a couple dollars for the difference between this disposal and the one without the power cord).I see where people say it doesn’t make noise but I cant share in that experience because it does make some noise, it’s not obnoxiously loud at all but you’re going to hear it turn on.Installation wasn’t that difficult and honestly if I didn’t have to wore the power cord it would have been much easier and faster. This is a DIY project almost anyone can do as long as you can get yourself under the sink.I will update this in a year or so if the performance becomes any sort of issue but as of now it works great.

My garbage disposal (InSinkErator Badger 1, 1/3hwp, 7 years old) started leaking this weekend and after watching some you tube videos, I discovered the issue was corrosion and cracks on the bottom plate of the disposal. I was hoping I could fix it with JB Weld and seal it, however once getting it apart and to the issue, the corrosion was much worse than the ones from the videos and even after extensive cleaning, it was still really disgusting.So, I replaced it with this InSinkErator Badger 5, 1/2hwp for a little more power. Same day delivery and it was a very quick and simple process! Since I already had the old one off, and the bracket attached to the sink was the same, it took less than 10 minutes to install the new one and hook it up. I have no prior experience with this, and this was my first attempt at anything plumbing, so it really is "Easy Installation"!While having the old one off, I also took off all of the other pipes and cleaned them out as well, as they were really gross and grimey. I am so glad this process was much easier than I expected and was able save a lot of money by doing it myself!IMPORTANT: Remember to remove the dishwasher knockout plug before installing, if you have a dishwasher, otherwise, it is blocked and water will be everywhere!I highly recommend this product and brand. Excellent quality, easy to replace and Made in the USA!

Replaced a “leaking from the bottom” Badger 5 garbage disposal of unknown age. Rusty on the inside, so I’m thinking 7-10 years. Ordered the same make and model and it arrived the next day, saving a trip to the hardware store. Saved about $10 and just put a bucket under the old unit until the new one arrived. It wasn’t leaking bad enough to rush about and get one. (it was hot out). Delivered around 2 and was done with the install in about 30 minutes. It just fit right on the existing under sink mount. Really only needed a screwdriver for hose clamp for dishwasher and it’s knockout. Have paper down for a day to insure no leaks before we put everything back. Works great. Nice and quiet.

The Badger was easy to install and works great. The motor is powerful and will easily get the job done.
