The JABRA Tag - Almost Perfect
I seldom write reviews for Amazon. But I'm a huge fan of the "dog tag" style of Bluetooth transceivers. I've had 3 of the Tag's predecessor - the BT3030 (Street and Street 2) and the last one has started acting up. They're really great for discretely wearing at the office - just wear it under your shirt (or in a shirt pocket if you prefer). So, I was happy to find the Tag. After about a week's use here's what I like and don't like, keeping in mind that I really thought the BT3030 hit it right, mostly, and that's the ideal I'd be comparing too.I use it daily, for extended periods, to primarily drown out loud co-workers so I can concentrate. Therefore, I'm not an audiophile and I don't care much about getting high-end audio quality out of relatively inexpensive devices.Pros:1. Loud. With the Tag set at the lowest setting, I still have to turn down the volume on the iPhone.2. Lightweight. It's definitely lighter than the BT3030.3. The lanyard/earbud combo is pretty creative and something I like. Although the weight of the Tag does, throughout the day, pull the earbud cords back down. I've pretty much negated that by gluing the Tag to my chest with eyelash glue. Works, earbud cords stay the right length, glue comes off easily (water-soluble, so may not hold up with heavy perspiration). But see the con below.4. No annoying flashing blue lights. One thing I hated about the BT3030s (and most other BT devices) is the flashing lights. The Tag flashes when being charged, when being turned on/off, and that's it. That's precisely how it should be. I don't need a blue light flashing from underneath my dress shirt all day long. Well done, Jabra! Here's hoping other manufacturers take your cue.5. Call quality is good. No complaints. I don't use it often for calls, but clarity on both sides of the call has been fine.6. Battery life. Freaking awesome! Not sure if it's a full 7 hours, but it's darned close. On two separate occasions, I know it gave me at least 6 hours of music/podcasts and still had charge left. Battery life will diminish over time, but I hope not too quickly.Cons:1. The POWER ON/POWER OFF/LOW BATTERY hollering woman. Why her voice doesn't recognize volume control is a mystery. An annoying, useless mystery.2. Bluetooth strength. While the BT3030s (and other BT devices) keep a solid connection while listening and with the phone in my pocket, the Tag cuts out quite a bit. It's annoying and I suspect due to the inclusion of the FM radio stuff.3. The lanyard. The audio connector is unique to the Tag. You can use other headsets with the Tag, but you can't use the Tag headset with other devices. It's got a proprietary clip. The holes for attaching your own lanyard are too small for anything but fine cord or thread. So, really, if the lanyard headset becomes useless you might have to finagle up something (like eyelash glue) on your own.Mehs:1. FM radio? Really? In the 21st century? Why? Especially given how limited it is: poor reception, no memory, no display.2. The buttons. I've gotten the hang of the buttons, mostly. The power on/off button, in particular, seems a bit sensitive about where you press it and for how long. Not a deal breaker, but just a bit wonky. The skip/rewind buttons have this a bit, also, but far less than the power button. The volume buttons work fine, as far as I can tell. Don't really mess with them too much and control volume from the phone.

Three steps forward, two steps back
I owned the previous incarnation of this headset (Street2) and loved it to death. I forgave it when the battery capacity dwindled to only good enough for one bike ride. But then suddenly one day it lost its stereo sound and I knew the day had come to replace it. So bear with me if I compare this one to that one a little. The good:--Obviously, the battery life is very good, 8 hours plus (but this was true of the first one when it was new. I expect this one will also slowly shrink down over time).--The Bluetooth connection is so much easier. Once paired the first time, subsequent powering on automatically connects to my phone. With the old model, I had to go through settings screens to confirm the pairing.--There's a nice new feature where if you hit the volume up button without music playing, the voice announces your battery level (stated as "high" and presumably "low" (I haven't tried this when it was below "high")).--I like the button design better, much much easier to feel through your shirt. And, contrary to some complaints that the buttons are too sensitive, I think the power button isn't sensitive enough. It takes me one or two tries to turn it on or off. The FF/REW button is just right. Kind of weird having the volume buttons on the side though, wish they could go where the FM button is (more on that later).--Much prefer the headset jack on the top rather than the side, just easier to manage the cord that way--The sound is fantastic.--Just like its predecessor, very lightweight, you forget it's even there. Now, the bad:--First and foremost, the earbuds that come with it are simply awful, and stupidly without them it loses its lanyard function (but at least when you remove the earbuds, there are pieces on the back with tiny holes that you can thread a very thin keyring through to use a lanyard of your own).--The biggest reason I took off one star: The FM button. Really? Why not just include a Sony Walkman attachment? Does anyone listen to FM radio anymore? In the car maybe, but I wear this for exercising and radio ads have a terrible beat, and tend to be incessant. I wish this could be re-purposed to something more useful, like volume or maybe just a call answer button.--The battery life is great, but on the old one when you got the first low battery notification, you still had a good hour left. On this, you get three or four warnings over about fifteen minutes and then you're done.In summary, overall a vast improvement over the older model. Now get rid of that useless FM button!

OK and average in all terms , Does not justify its cost
The inbuilt White Earphone is low quality with low volume output . Hope Jabra does not over look this point as many users have posted it . The user interface is very good , it talks when it connects to a phone . Battery life is not very impressive either . Sound quality when used with another ear phone was great , however does not justify the cost price at all . Amazon packing and delivery is always 5 stars , product is 2.5 . Not worth the price I paid over 2 k.

Go for the device.. but earphone needs to be changed.
Using it for a long time. The earphones worn out very early. Seems they were not of good quality. But the device is very good. Battery back up is great. Looks and performance is great too. Very much satisfied. But recently it got stolen. So looking for the same again as this is very reliable product.

Hands Free Litterally ....
Nice and comprehensive solutions to keep your hands free....Clear sound ....Little precision is required while pressing buttons for receiving calls, play - pause music & FM audio.Accidentally switches on Music / FM if buttons get pressed unconsciously.
