It's a great camera.
This is a great camera that does what it advertises. I read the mixed reviews but went ahead and bought one because I have a smartthings hub, and I couldn't be happier. The camera was easy to set up and connect thanks to the visual prompts and status updates in the smartthings app. Once installed, the settings to select persons, all motion, and sound triggers are easy to set up. While you can not adjust the sensitivity I haven't felt that I really needed to. The combination of motion detection zones and the ability to select for the camera to only record when it detects a person has practically eliminated false alerts. I think that the picture and audio quality are very good and the night vision reaches out to around 16 feet which is what's advertised. I find that the most useful aspect of the camera is its integration with the smarthings app, Home Monitor, and automations which allows for the camera to be turned off right before I enter the house and then back on again once I leave. Again, this is a very good camera and does what it says it will do. If you have a smartthings hub and like the ecosystem, then I recommend that you give it a try.

Must be good choice - if you want the security camera !
The media could not be loaded. It was easy to setup ( only took 2 mins ).this camera is quite quick and video/image picture is perfect to me.Camera is working well with SmartThings environment. so I could let this work with other security sensors and things together. but even though you are not familiar with "SmartThings", do not worry - it just works. One interesting feature is camera group - since I had another same one so I could make group. with this option , I could see all my camera streams at the same time. I attach my video.

Don't buy this camera!
Don't but this camera! This camera worked well the first 2 weeks, but then it kept going off line and had to be reset continually. I also realized that the camera was getting very hot. I called Samsung and was told that they had discontinued this camera several years ago and no longer supported it for warranty. Thank goodness, Amazon is allowing me to return it and get credit. I really liked this camera, but it has some type of issue.

Works for what I need it for
I purchased this to keep an eye on my dog when I was out. I worry less now. I can bring it up on my phone at any time and see how she is doing. The video is a little delayed and choppy (which may be normal for these type of cameras) but it works for what I need it for. I like that you can zoom in if needed. You can hear what is going on and also send your voice through too but like I said it is delayed and choppy so I don't use the sound or microphone. At least not as of yet.

Great value for the price
I found it easy to setup using Android phone. It provided step by step instruction which was pretty easy. You do need a Smartthings app and account to start.Value - it comes with free 24 hr storage and motion (person) and sound detection. First account login, so i get the premium free for a month which gives me 30 days storage.I can customize my recording through the setting. It takes a bit getting used to but once finish setting up, it is just simple.Quality is very good in day and night mode.I have multiple Ring cameras and other brand cameras. Although, I like them, I have to pay subscription for basic usage.

It is adequate
The camera was easy to set up and use. It has the ability to set zones so that the ceiling fan or other normally moving objects don't trigger the motion sensor. The motion sensitivity is mixed. It works better when the lights are on, than when they are off. This morning it picked me up putting my shoes on on the couch with the lights on. This evening, it did not see me walk behind the couch to my office with the lights off. It wasn't a distance issue, or the fact that I was behind the couch. The camera had a clear shot of me directly in front of it, walking the length of my couch. My next issue is the recording. It records in 1 minute increments. If there is 20 minutes of motion, you get 20 1 minute clips. Not ideal. The picture quality is average. Considering how wide the angle is on the lens, it isn't bad. While you can zoom the video in to see something, the detail is not there. The camera could have two uses as I see it. One, you place it in a location where the activity will be closer to the camera in order to capture useable detail. Two, you place the camera in a location to view a very wide area, capturing everything, and relying on other cameras for detail. You want to see who is raiding the pantry at night and what they are taking? It has you covered if you place it close to the action. You want to see the entire living room, kitchen, and front hallway? It has you covered there too. From my mantle, I can see all of that, and even part of the dining room. The distortion reduction is good considering how wide the angle is on the camera.I appreciate it being able to use 5Ghz. I don't buy 2.4Ghz WiFi products anymore. That I leave for Zigbee, bluetooth, etc. I like that I can turn the light on the camera on or off. This way I can alert individuals that they are being recorded, or turn it off to not annoy my wife with the light.I'm not terribly impressed with the microphone. My son could understand me just fine, but I had a hard time understanding him, even after he walked up to the camera. In the end. I bought this to experiment with it. I have uses for this, but for primary security, I will use something else. This is good for simple security, and notifications if we are out of the house. It is good for the maid, or the house sitter. It is good for the cookie thief. It is only ok for security surveillance. I think this product will improve over time, but for now, my use for it is limited.

Good camera. Excellent for the price.
The media could not be loaded. Things I like - Fast live stream, 2-way audio, lots of features (FHD/HD/HDR, night vision, audio/volume controls, motion detection settings, can make rules like if a person is detected send me a video clip & turn on my smart lights)Things I don't like - After connecting to it if you wait an hour or so it auto-updates the firmware. That update made a big difference - beforehand it had a couple internet disconnections, works well now.I recommend it over Nest/Arlo because it's half the price & has the same features.
