This trash can looks great in my kitchen and fits the space perfectly. I really like the removable plastic insert, it makes cleaning super easy. It’s a perfect fit for the 13-gallon trash bags we use, and so far, it’s working perfectly. The soft-close lid and easy-to-use pedal are nice features, and I really appreciate the solid liner, which makes it easy to remove and clean when needed. The price was very reasonable, especially compared to some other models. I couldn’t justify spending a lot on something that gets used and abused, and this one does the job just fine!

This is the 2nd one we have bought for our kitchen. It's very sturdy and looks nice. Uses standard 13 gallon trash bags.

Needed a new kitchen trash can, this Amazon Basics trash can did not disappoint. Everything about it exceeded my expectations.- High quality components, design, and construction.- Sized as advertised. Sturdy, works great, has handles on the inner bin to easily remove the trash without getting your hands too dirty. My only complaint is that the lid doesn't open quite as far as I'd like even when stepping as hard as I can on the pedal. It isn't quite straight up, and still handlgs over the can a bit and makes it a little more difficult than need be to remove the trash.

This was the one I'd been searching for! It's a bit taller than most, not as wide. Perfect fit for the 13 gal trash bags we use. It's very attractive. So far works perfectly. Soft close, easy pedal for opening, easy to clean both inside & out as it has a solid liner (important to me as I like to remove the liner to take outside to wash it out as needed. The price was very reasonable, especially compared to some products which were very pricey - some between $150-200 which is more than I was willing to spend. Solid purchase, looks nice in my very small kitchen.

This trash can is perfect for my kitchen, modern stainless steel finish that looks great and doesn’t show fingerprints. The lid closes smoothly and quietly, and the size is just right. Really happy with this purchase!

So I've had this for 2 years. Worked well but dents easily. I guess that's what to expect at this price? We just had the soft close mechanism break and the plastic bottom part that holds the silver piston from dropping out broke off. There are several solutions to this shown in these reviews. I used several 1/4 x 4 inch strips of duct tape to hold the piston from dropping out but THAT DID NOT WORK. I then taped a strip of 1/2" x 3" piece of aluminum I cut from a can to cover the bottom hole using duct tape to hold it in place. This provides a good bottom for the piston to sit on. Since the tape will unstick, I wrapped some wire around the tape/aluminum. That did not work! Now using 2 hose clamps to hold the strip of metal I cut from a can. See pic. This is holding better than the wire. Will report back if this fails.
