Roller Brush to Fit Dyson DC07 Vacuum

applied brush to vacuum it works but not as good as original. brush hairs are not as long, they barely drop below my vacuum brush plate.

Realized we needed to replace this after a Google search! Great value and great product!

Our Dyson is 5 years old. We had a golden ret. with black carpet when I purchased it. It was amazing how well it worked. Now 5 years later we have a collie and a sheltie, I just thought the regular dyson couldn't handle the collie hair as well as the golden ret hair. Then we were cutting hair out of the brush bar every few days as with 2 dogs and black carpet we need to vaccum almost everyday. My husband suggested getting a replacement brush bar. I looked into it on line and found this item. We put it in, not as easy as it sounded like it would be, a lot of taking apart to get to it with changing the belts (which we didn't end up doing). Well new brush bar and the hair comes up so well and even though I didn't have any problems with it picking up dirt, it think it even works better than it had. Our old brush the bristles were really worn down. I have cut dog hair out of the new brush but it didn't seem to hinder the vaccums ability to pick up. In our ave. size house I can get 2 to 3 canisters of hair and dirt everytime I vaccum. That's only living/dining room and a small hallway. Hairy dogs are the most of it, and these are hairy dogs that get bathed and brushed on a regular bases. Very happy with item.....very happy.

I would have given this 5 stars if it would have come with replacement instructions. You would think instructions would be unnecessary, but it was difficult to get the roller off the drive belt. Dyson's owners manual and website were no help which surprised me. So I went to YouTube and found some tips. There is a special tool that lifts the belt out of your way which I didn't have. But with the help of a couple 90 degree screwdrivers and a second set of hands I got it off. Putting the new roller brush on was a bit easier.Dyson also doesn't give you any guidelines on how often to change the roller brush. But what a huge difference it made when I tested the new roller brush on a small rug that had been vacuumed just a couple days earlier. If you don't have a good roller brush you are only getting half the dirt. After my test my house felt dirty so I vacuumed the whole house.

The product itself is fine. Now that I got it installed and used the vacuum it works perfectly. We paid a lot for our Dysons and it is worth it to make sure it is in top working order, This product certainly helps accomplish that goal.I watched youtube videos to see how to install the beater brush. They make it look easy. It's not. The belt is very snug (a good thing for a working beater brush, but not easy to manipulate to remove the old and install the new). I even had the special tool. Only the hook tool was useful in stretching the belt. It was hard to remove the old one and even harder to get the new one seated in place. Perhaps some instructions along with the product would be helpful. I was surprised none were included. Will I do this again? Never. I will take it in for repair.

My wife told me that our DC07 with a Clutch(that knob that says carpet or floor) was sadly dying after being with us through our years of dating, engagement, marriage, adoption of two cats, and finally the birth of our 1st & 2nd child...wasn't picking-up hair or dirt they way it used too. I took one quick look and could tell in an instant the bristles on the roller bar were beaten, battered, and matted. We decided on trying this new roller as everything else with the vacuum seemed 100% fine. With a little muscle stretching the band over the roller it went right in and the vacuum now continues to be part of our family. Do not be afraid to attempt doing this yourself! As long as you can find someone with a little strength if you are unable to do it yourself it's a pretty straight forward process.

I bought this to replace my old Dyson part because it was cheaper than an original Dyson and the reviews were good. It was easy to install and is working just as well as the original brush, however it does make a screeching noise when it runs now, that it didn't before. The brush seems to be turning just find and picks up everything as expected, and I can't find anything that is hitting anyplace, so after two months of use I've become accustomed to the noise. It does seem to lessen over time so it was probably operator error on my part. .

So I had no idea that these were supposed to changed every year, the bearings on the old one were so fried, I am starting to think that that is the reason the clutch went, so when I bought the clutch , I added this as well and now my dyson is quiet and runs like new, Thanks
