Superwinch 400538 Hub-Suzuki Samurai Sidekick, Geo Tracker '89-90

I bought it for my 1998 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.5V6 20000 km (12000 miles) ago and it works perfect. Very simple installation and fitting. It takes about 15 min`s to uninstall stock hubs and install Superwinch ones for both sides. Mine was made in Brazil and made well. So, I recommend it.

Same as first. Easy install. Work well. Easy to turn dial from 2x4 to 4x4. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they are not "chrome" shiny anymore after about one week or the first rain.

For the price, these can't be beat! I put a set on my K Mart Range Rover (Suzuki Sidekick) and all went well. According to Suzuki I couldn't / shouldn't flat tow with the automatic hubs. Seemingly very well made of quality materials, as good as the **popular** brand, and a WHOLE lot less $$$. Got the bling-bling of chrome too, if that's your thing. Very smooth, easy engagement / disengage..UPDATE 8-16-08: The housings I thought were chrome plated are NOT. They are highly polished aluminum. Still like 'em, but don't like the fact the shiny "bling" goes away if / when they become corroded. Would be better off if they were powder coated (or REALLY plated).UPDATE 1-26-09: As I had feared, the aluminum housings DO!corrode. Living in the "rust belt" the winter road salt has absolutely destroyed the hubs cosmetically. A mass of corrosion. It is my hope I will be able to abrasive blast the hubs and paint them this summer. They still work, of course, and tha center control knob turns freely in spite of the corrosion. Superwinch screwed up big time selling these with an unprotected soft aluminum housing IMHO.

Installed on 2001 Suzuki Vitara 2 door. Even though not listed for my vehicle, they fit perfect. Work as they should. This is my run around SUV, I drive it quiet often but did not want to spend a great deal of money for lockout hubs. I believe they are a good value.

got it quick since it is stocked and sold by amazon, not some drop shipper. call amazon to make sure they have it though as they are hard to find in many places. I have two complaints...actually three. 1) the paper gaskets included in this boxed pair are very cheap and flimsy. mine came torn. I purchased a roll of gasket material and made new ones myself. 2) the turn to lock/unlock is very easy. it doesn't feel secure to be honest. I would love it if it clicked in place. i did lube it, though maybe I overdid it. I am always checking before getting on the road to make sure they are where I left them. 3) this site says it won't fit on a 1997 geo tracker, I called superwinch in connecticut and they told me that indeed it will fit on ALL trackers. call superwinch if any doubt.

It was received in a damaged box and appears to have been installed previously. The hubs looks of decent quality but really Amazon? If I had wanted the open box deal that's what i would have bought.

Totally agree with above. My hubs are but a few weeks old and a few summer showers have now littered the shiny surfaces with corrosion. The aluminum caps seem to be gravity cast and are presumably porous. The price was great but this was not the place to save money on this product.

I got these hubs to replace my OEM original hubs and they are EXCELLENT. They lock in solid and feel pretty rugged. The only problem I ran into was the cone washers on the mounting bolts don't fit through the black mounting plate but the bolts still seem to lock it in fine so at this point it doesnt seem to be a real problem. I have no experience with the Warn hubs but as good as the are I think it's unnecessary to spend twice as much on hubs when you can get these. Lastly install time was only like 5 minutes per hub
