Great quality product!
Great for all ages.I love this nerf axe, my son had been wanting one for a while so "santa" decided to bring it for him for christmas. This is another great quality toy made by nerf, the axe itself was a little larger than I predicted but if you look at the specs it was exactly as stated, 2 x 7.5 x 16.4 inches it is a great addition to anyones nerf collection!Things I love about this product:* It is made of a very high quality foam material, my son is a kid of destruction loves to hit everything with something, he is a six year old little boy that is to be expected of him, but i was not too happy when he decided to hit the wall with a hammer, how did he get the hammer, neither you or I will ever know! But that is when I decided to start getting him FOAM things to hit stuff with and I am so glad that I did. He hits everything with this and no matter the punch he puts behind it, it does not break anything, including the axe itself.* The axe is hard and soft at the same time. Hard enough that you can hit objects with it but soft enough that it will not break that axe or the object that is being hit with it.* The handle is long enough for an adult hand and isn't too long for the littlest of hands. My son and I do a lot of nerf wars in our home and this has been the perfect asset to our collection of weapons, even though it will not cut down trees, it lets the imagination take over and let the little ones explore a little more possibilities in different aspects of their life. This is your typical elite colors, grey, steel, and orange we can't wait to use it in the next Nerf battle in the neighborhood.

... I wish I would have had two of these bad boys and here's why
All I can say is that I wish I would have had two of these bad boys and here's why.....I was sitting at home on my couch one afternoon and I heard a noise. I didn't think too much of it at the time until a minute later I heard the noise again. So I got up with my "Klaw" (my weapon of choice for any home invasion) and I went to go investigate what could be making the noise. As I near a corner going to the dinning room I see a form coming at me. I quickly throw "Klaw" and hit the form dead center in the chest and it made a sound when hit, but that didn't stop it (and this is when I wished I would have had two "Klaws" cause I'm sure after throwing the second one that nothing would have continued to come at me). Needless to say it was just my son wanting help untying a knot in his shoes and the noise was just him huffin and puffin trying to get a knot out. I should have known to never go for center mass. I've watched enough zombie flicks, next time I aim for the head and that should be the end of anything....Stupid shoe knots....

A nice toy for an esoteric reason.
This was a gift for my Uncle who is a bit of a woodsman, but this toy was a little jab at him, because even experienced people make mistakes. The was out in the woods near our property chopping down some smaller trees, removing limbs, etc, basic clean up stuff. The's a confident person, has been doing this for many years, so when the sun went down it was no big deal. Except for he slipped...with his hatchet and got himself pretty good. Thankfully nothing came of the accident aside form a good ribbing and a scar as a permenent reminder that chopping at trees and limbs after dark isn't a good idea. Now you know my esoteric little anecdote, and why this was a the perfect gift as both a joke and a keepsake for my uncle...and once in a while if we're playing around with Nerf guns shooting each other, he can hit us with a hatchet from the back, Indian style (sorry Native Americans we grew up watching lots of westerns). Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Fun lightweight nerf weapon
When I first bought this hatchet 3 years ago I thought it was an amazing toy. My little brother seemed to think this as well because he eventually went out and bought two more of them. This toy doesn't really hurt when you get hit with it despite the warning that tells you not to hit other people with this toy. It held up pretty well until two years ago when the blade of the hatchet tore off. Because of how old it was and what it had been threw I was surprised it hadn't broken sooner. This is a great toy to buy your kids if they're into Nerf weapons in general, but if you don't you kids whipping this at each other don't buy it.

Just enough range
The Nerf Hatchet has multiple uses and of course ranging from casual fun with the kids to being a powerful force on the airsoft or paintball field. The hatchet is a nice dark color in comparison to a lot of Nerf weapons which makes it easier to conceal in a CQB environment. The orange patches are good to locate it if lost, but some may be concerned as to their viability. It is light weight, lighter than some CQB plastic and rubber knives.PROS:Light WeightLonger reach than knivesDark Color SchemeMultiple UsesCons:Can't be thrown more than 6 feet - it's light weight leaves it driftingBright orange? for me its ok for some it isn't

Awesome tool for child-induced destruction!
We gave this tool of destruction to my niece for her birthday.I know, I know, you're thinking, "Why on earth would anyone give this to a little girl?" Well, she is no ordinary little girl. No, she is a pretty, tiny force of nature hell-bent on the destruction of all things in my Sister's household.I'm cool with this. And while I love my sibling, the thought of providing a wonderful (and safe) tool of terror to her daughter just delighted me to no end. Watching her stalk my other nieces, nephews and their animals as she unleashes her fury delighted me to no end.Sure, I know that once I leave my sister will put it up on top of the fridge to help stop of wave of destruction, but thankfully I also taught her to climb.

Used as throwing axes
Out of the four I bought I have broken two but they fix well with some rubber contact cement

My son has been asking for this for ages and is going to love it!
Somewhat expensive as a toy, however, it's not going to be breaking and falling apart anytime soon either! Guess that's what you pay for. My son has been asking for this for ages and is going to love it!
