Works perfectly. No idea why so many people have problems.
Worked just fine out of the box. I wasted a lot of time researching residual pressure valve and dip tubes, but with a standard 20 lb CO2 tank in the US, there's no problem.Chill Soda Stream in the freezer first, and fill it with the CO2 tank upside down. Remember to open CO2 valve very slowly at first and it works great.

Works, kind of...
I am new to filling my soda stream cylinders. I go through a fully charged cylinder in about 2 weeks. I bought a 20lbs cylinder to charge my soda stream cylinders. When I charge them using this device I can’t get more than 3 days worth of bubbly water. If I open the valve just a little I hear the CO2 flowing. But then i can hear it stop flowing after about 20 seconds. If I open the valve more than a little, flow stops quickly. Not sure if there is something I could differently when charging. Let me know if I can do something differently.

Works as described!
We use this on our 5 gallon CO2 tank for the purpose of refilling SodaStream bottles. There are some great how-to YouTube videos about this. We have successfully refilled our bottles at least a dozen times already, having purchased this a few months ago.

Works perfectly if used properly
This adapter works great! Few important steps, though:1- MOST IMPORTANT! - COMPLETELY empty your Sodastream cylinder before trying to fill it. No more CO2 should come out when pressing on the valve (should be loose and easy to push with your finger)2- put your Sodastream cylinder in the freezer. The colder the better. For like an hour before refilling.3- my CO2 tank and most common tanks that are used for kegerators/homebrew beer have no dip tube and no PRV, so no need to install that valve thingy with the allen key. (if you open the valve on your CO2 cylinder and it flows freely, you don't need to screw in that allen key piece in the middle) BUT to fill your cylinder, you have to put your CO2 tank UPSIDE DOWN to let LIQUID CO2 flow into the tank.4- recent sodastream cylinders have a valve designed to prevent refilling. If too much pressure is sent initially into the cylinder, the valve closes and CO2 stops flowing. So the key is to open the valve VERY SLOWLY when starting the fill. As pressure builds into the sodastream cylinder, you can open the valve further and fill more rapidly. Takes maybe 3-4 minutes.New cylinders come with 410g CO2. I can fill mine to 500g with this adapter, no problem.

Once figured out, works well
Other reviews have mentioned that it's tricky to set up, and that's kind of the case. Mine came with a small page of instructions that was only a bit helpful, but playing around and carefully looking at the images, I figured it out.I attached it to my 5lb C02 tank, attached the soda stream bottle, and gently opened the tap on the C02 tank. I let it go for 30 or so seconds, and got almost 1lb of C02 into it.I've had one of these before, with multiple dials and knobs, and I managed to strip one of them by accidentally turning it the wrong way. This one is much simpler, and will work with my big 20lb tank.

Works.
Works fine on non-RPV tank. Haven't tested on RPV. Bleed screw doesn't seem to work as well as just releasing the small canister fast once the main tank is shut (i.e. less leakage that way). (RPV = residual pressure valve)

Works ok.
Works ok for filling up my Sodastream bottles. A bit fiddly to adjust for the tamper proof valves.

That it really does work.
Their were no instructions with adaptor. It took a bit to get it in the right spot to release the co2 from tank.Thank you.Roy
