 This is an amazing affordable lighting kit that provides nice soft even light for videos or photography. I currently use it mainly for Youtube Videos. (If you can't see the video I attached, You can also see the product in action by doing a web search: stewievill vlogs cheap lighting) You get 2 light stands, two 85W bulbs, two softboxes, two softbox covers, and 2 carry bags for your equipment. Everything is easy to setup as demonstrated in my video. The softboxes are like umbrellas, so they are easy and simple to fold. The kit provides continuous lighting, so there is no dimmer. The Softboxes can only go Up/Down as far as adjustments. You can easily break the kit down and store in a closet once you are done.The Cons of this kit- The light stands are cheap and flimsy, but they get the job done. Just make sure when fully extended that everything is locked in place and try to add some weight to the base of the stand for stability.- The Carrying bags are of cheap material and I wouldn't trust carrying the lighting equipment in them.- The power cord is very short. If you don't have a power strip or extension cords at home you will have to purchase some extra ones, because the cord will not reach the floor when lightstand is extended.The LimoStudio Lighting Kit is still an amazing value and will improve the quality of your shoots whether video or photography. Despite it's negatives I would recommend this as a beginning lightkit. The negatives are not deal-breakers and you can work around them. I am very happy with my purchase!!

I bought these and they both lit up perfectly. Thats not why I'm posting this review though.I'm going to touch base on something everybody keeps saying about these.They are absolutely not top heavy. The instructions just don't tell you that the bottom legs open up VERY wide. You need to push the black/grey thing down and all the legs will flare out. I've TRIED to knock this thing over and it's nearly impossible by pushing it with a good amount of force.You just need to make sure that you open the legs of these things to their full potential.Initially, I had not done this,a and I sat their thinking, ok I can understand why people said I should probably weight it down, but I wasn't really worried about it. in fact, I expected them to be top heavy after reading all the reviews here.THEN, by accident, I was putting my second one together and pushed down on that notch for the legs, and presto! Seriously you'd have to tackle this thing for it to fall over on a wooden floor.So again, it's not in the directions, but make sure you flare the legs out completely. I'll try to take some pictures with my phone sometime. If you think it is top heavy, then you have NOT set it up properly.

I absolutely am blown away from the quality this light brings to my dimmly lit apartment. I added a photo using solely these soft boxes and I am thoroughly impressed. This item shipped extremely fast being that it was purchase during the holiday season. The main reason why I purchased this light was because my pervious filming light broke from another company. So I was in a desperate need of a replacement because I film beauty videos for my YouTube channel on a weekly basis. Thank you so much for an awesome product which is also so easy to put together and disassemble on your own. I highly recommend!! Glam shots approved!

I'm thoroughly satisfied with this purchase and my only regret is not making it sooner. I'm a hair blogger and I take product photos as well as selfies to demo my results. I bought a ring light for my selfies because that's what everyone does...but honestly, the ring light is extremely unflattering on my skin for whatever reason. I have skin that is permanently scarred with pits and hyper-pigmentation from past acne and the ring light seems to highlight those imperfections even with make-up. Natural light is always more forgiving, but I don't always have time to take my pictures during the day. So being pretty unhappy with my ring light, I decided to buy these soft boxes and crossed my fingers the effect wouldn't be the same.I'm happy to say that it wasn't! The results were totally different, at least in my opinion. My skin looks smoother and less harsh with these soft boxes, as opposed to the ring light.Although I got two, one is enough for my purposes right now but I don't mind having the other for future experiments and videos.I would highly recommend this to anyone who has skin imperfections like dents, pits, big pores. These lights will brighten your complexion and soften those things.

I've used these for my Youtube Videos for about a year now and I they have been awesome. I recommend them all the time. People focus so much on camera equipment but they forget about lighting. I dare you to find a better value than this. They are not exaggerating on the 700W output. These things are incredibly bright and the CFL bulbs are HUGE!! I'm perfectly happy.I've attached some pictures that these lights were used to take.
