By far the best deal for the price!
This thing is something else! I have it in a box that's not enough cubic feet for it, on an amp that doesn't give it the power it needs, and yet it still sounds amazing. I had a 1800 watt type R before this, this kicker at the lower levels does well, I can't even tell the difference until you turn up the gain. Then the type R pulls away, but hey, that's a much higher end more expensive sub drawing a lot more power. I love the sub, give it the power it needs and a box with the cubic feet kicker suggest, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend to anyone that wants a nice thump, wouldn't recommend for competitions, it's perfect for a daily driving vehicle.

Best bang for the buck addition I've done to a stereo in over a decade
Blown away... Literately, I haven't purchased a subwoofer in a long time but this kicker blew my expectations away, I paired her with an old kenwood amp that puts out approx 400 watts rms in bridged mode and this thing hits clean and hard. After it broke in (first week) it hit even cleaner, and noticed a decibel increase at the higher levels, I have it in an old kicker ported substation and it really flows pretty well. Cant go wrong for the money here!

Kicker still holds a high quality standard regardless of what some may say...
I'm still in the recommended 2 week "break-in period". BUT, being I was already running 2 Comp VRDVC 10s, I think that I can about say that the 12 will be equally impressive with even more bass drop.Being I'm a metalhead, I enjoy bands like For Today, Impending Doom, Fear Factory, Machine Head & SLAYER to name a few. I added this 12 so I could get a better response from the triggered bass drops with groups like Impending Doom, For Today & Fear Factory. Right now, I'm tweaking the crossovers & trying to get the best overlap from my 8" subs to my 10s & then from the 10s to the 12.I had been told that the quality of Kicker had diminished from where they were years ago with the original Kicker Competition subs. After running these 3 Kickers & forming my OWN opinion... yeah, I'm not seeing any truth in lower quality standards.Once the break-in period has ended & I see how it's going to do, I'll try to update this review. But for now, THIS is the sub for you if you're looking. (This sub is in the center)

Great value, great sound
It's great... Used to have an old CVR that lasted longer than 10 years... Have always liked kickers quality and sound. Bought this and it goes just as hard and sounds just as good, if not better than the old one.

I put this in my truck and I'm really happy with it
I put this in my truck and I'm really happy with it, the sound is incredible and it hits really hard with my 1200 watt amp. You can't go wrong with this sub and the price is awesome. You need to give it at least 3 weeks for the break in period before you'll see and feel the hard bass.

good, not sure about lows
Excellent sub. Much louder, and better quality (in my opinion) than my old JL. I'm not sure if my amp isn't powerful enough, or if it still needs to be worn in,but I can't get it to do lows very well. That's my only negative, but like I said I think the issue might be on my end. Great sub, very happy.

Hits REALLY HARD
Absolutely love this sub. It hits really hard. And I mean REALLY hard.I have it installed in a 2006 wrx.I'm still breaking it in so I haven't even pushed it to its limits yet, but i can tell you it blows my old alpine type r put of the water for a way better price.
