MacBook Case 13 inch Air, GMYLE Hard Case Print Frosted for MacBook Air 13 inch (Model: A1369 and A1466) - Blue Geometric Pattern Rubber Coated Hard Shell Case Cover

I have been looking for a wood laptop case for AGES. The problem is, any of the good quality actual wood cases are 80+ dollars and I just can't swing that for a laptop case.Finally I decided to go for a case that looked like wood but was not wood, and after looking at probably thirty, went with this one.I am very pleased with the look of this case. It has a very rich brown color and the wood grain itself is very realistic and gives my laptop a very homey feeling. It is painted plastic, so after having it fora few months it does have a couple knicks where you can see the plastic underneath, but non so much that takes away from the look of the case.I did drop my laptop with the case on one time, and both the case and the laptop were damaged, but not to the point where my laptop doesn't work, it was just the corner.I do very much like that it comes with a two year warranty and will likely be using it at some point.The only reason I am giving it four stars rather than five is that the bottom piece does not snap on all the way. It still connects and does not at all fall off of the laptop, but it is bothersome that no matter what I do I cannot get the last two snaps on. It however has not affected the performance of the case.

Rated 3/5 stars due to the quality of the product based on the price.The wood pattern looks great, but the "wood colored" paint does not cover the whole case, which makes it look poorly made and cheap. The paint only covers the outside of the case and does not cover the edges of the case, so the parts of the case that you see when you open your laptop are white (which I am assuming was the original color before they added the "wood color"). - Another reviewer had also mentioned this, sadly, I did not see that review when I purchased my case.There is also some paint seepage on the inside of the case (the part of the case that rests against the actual laptop - so it's not visible). The paint that has seeped onto the inside of the case seems to be untreated, meaning, it seems to be reacting to the heat that's coming off the laptop, and is starting to become sticky, but this is very minor and not a deal breaker.Another minor issue with the case is the fact that it isn't really "rubberized". There is definitely some kind of coating on the exterior of the case, but it is still very slick and there are some parts that are rough to touch (not sure if the manufacturer planned this, so that it would feel like un-sanded wood, or if it was just poorly made). Also, the Apple logo is not visible once you put the case on - Just FYI.Overall, for the price that it's currently at (~$22), I would avoid this product and look elsewhere. You can tell the product was mass produced and probably cost the manufacturer less than $1 to make, so the fact that they are selling the case at a price much higher than a lot of the other hardshell Macbook cases, is really disappointing.

Updated Review (2015-03-19):So this case is actually getting on my nerves. When I first got it, it looked so beautiful and even though it was giving me a hard time to snap on the top, I managed to do it and thought it would stay that way, but it doesn't. It's soo easy to snap it off that it defeats the purpose of having a case for my mac.I also had to cut off the two tiny pieces that grip the mac in the bottom front because they were digging into my hands, once I removed them with my Xacto knife, the bottom part of the case is very comfy and it's perfect to type on.If you're using this with a macbook air, the case might be a bit heavy too because whenever I tilt the mac a little, the case weight pulls the screen wide open and I'm afraid it might damage my computer. I'm just sad I spent my decal on this case cause I won't put up with it much longer. I've decided to keep the bottom part attached and change the top part for a decal skin.Original Review:This looks absolutely beautiful! The matte feel of the case is amazing but I have to admit the top part of the case was soooooo hard to put on, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The bottom part of the case was the easiest to put on. The top back part kept clicking out of place and that was driving me a little nuts, until I don't know what happened and it stayed in place (never mind, it pops off occasionally) I also added a black decal on top and the it sticks pretty well to the case, so overall, I like this case!

Really liked the cover. Didn't give it 5 stars because after 10 months, two of the rubber feet fell off and I was only able to put one back on because I notice it on the floor. Looked online for replacement feet but only found it for the Air itself and the feet appear to be of a different diameter. It's not that big of a deal for me since I'll just go with only the top cover now but might be a problem for others. Didn't use the cover hard and always try to treat my computer gently by the way.

Overall, I like this case. The design is beautiful , and I've gotten compliments on it.However, I noticed that the top case doesn't exactly fit my macbook air 13. Even though it snaps on fine, there are small spaces in all of the corners. Also, when I opened the packaged, I noticed that the colors on the edges were wearing away, before I even started using it. I'm disappointed by this, since the other two reviews were very positive.Oh and the Apple logo does shine through the case!UPDATED REVIEW: Changed to 4 stars: Gigacity sent me a replacement top case free of charge, it's a better quality than the original one I received!

It's a great design but even though I tried to be super careful the top panel cracked immediately. It still worked well, so I didn't complain. Over the next few months the grips chipped away. It lasted maybe 12 months, which is still quite good compared to some others on the market.

Looked great at first, but fitted very poorly. As a result it has already fatigued and broken along the front edge.

This product looks just like the picture. Mine did have a piece that snapped off after a few months of use but to be fair I am not very gentle with it. Got so many compliments on this case!

Il corriere è stato puntuale ed il pacco era perfettamente imballato, ma il prodotto era stato fatto male.Spiego : il prodotto era stato fatto male perché ben poco curato nei dettagli (la cornice interna della cover non è stata colorata) e la superficie era graffiata e con bolle d'aria. Insomma, prodotto spedito perfettamente ma uscito malissimo dalla fabbrica!
