Flex Watt Heat Tape - Flex Watt Heat Tape 11" Wide Tape (110V) (20 Watts per foot)

This heat tape comes in foot-long sections with metal conduction strips on both sides of the sheet. You have to wire the sheet before it can be used (Big Apple Pet Supply sells a suitable cord setup) and Big Apple takes GREAT PAINS to let you know that if you wire it up incorrectly and electrocute yourself that they are not responsible. Wiring was simple and I have had no problems with the product. I understand why it cannot be sold "pre-wired" (since it comes in sections). However, it would have been helpful to see something in the description that suggested that you be comfortable with doing simple electrical wiring before buying this product.

I have flex watt on my ball python's enclosure but it was extremely old and I could tell it was starting to wear out a little. Bought two of these as replacements for his cage and to add onto my leopard gecko's enclosure. Very easy to install. If you can operate a pair of plyers then you can hook this up and attach it to anything where heat tape is allowed.

Works great for my home brew operation.

I used this to heat the water for my chickens. It works great. No more frozen water to mess with in the winter.

Dissapointed this was not authentic flexwatt tape. It does not say made in USA or have the flexwatt patent numbers on it down the clear edge of the tape, or the company address in Massachusetts. This tape is not ul safety listed. It just says 120v 20 watts per linear foot.

Use it to keep temps correct in darkroom developing trays.
