Good ingredients for a reasonable price
I have purchased AvoDerm before, but it has been a while since I've tried it, and this is probably the first time my youngest cat has tried it.I free-feed my cats (Blue Buffalo) kibble, but I also give them each a small can of canned food each morning or split a larger one. If they eat that, I'll give them another one later in the afternoon. Wet food is important for cats because they prefer to get their liquid requirements from their food rather than drinking water. Older cats, in particular, often don't drink enough water to support their aging kidneys. For that reason, I like to encourage them to eat canned food, and overeating has never been a problem for them. They are, however, fairly picky about their canned foods, and they don't like eating the same thing too often. For that reason, I rotate a bunch of different canned foods. My requirements are that meat, poultry, or fish be the first ingredient and that there be no corn, soy, wheat, gluten, or unnamed byproducts. My cats might be willing to eat junk, but it's my responsibility to read the ingredient list. This has worked well for me, as my last four cats lived into their mid-20s or longer, one of them nearly making it to 29 years of age.About 80% of what is in a can of cat food is found in the first four ingredients. The first six ingredients in the AvoDerm Chicken Entree with Vegetables in Gravy are Tuna (Source of Omega 3), Fish Broth, Chicken, Sunflower Oil, Carrots, and Peas. These ingredients fit the bill and there's nothing scary in the rest of the list. For some reason, I haven't thought of AvoDerm in a couple of years. Either Amazon wasn't carrying it, or I didn't come across it. My last four cats all liked AvoDerm, so I ordered a case of it. Of my two cats, the older one loved it, while the younger one initially walked away in protest but later snuck back and ate it, or the older one might have gone from her bowl to his. I wasn't watching. Cats are weird.

My cat loves this
Serving size is perfect for breakfast and dinner. She has dry food throughout the day in her bowl just for snacking. I try not to over feed her. I need her active

If only I could afford to feed this to my cats....
WTH on the price fluctuations. When I was buying this a year ago, it was about $40 for 24 5.5 oz cans. It finally came back in stock a month ago at 31 for 24 3 oz cans. Then dropped to $28 for that. I get paid today, go to buy more, and now it's $40?I know that supply and demand has been an issue the last few years, but a price jump like this just smacks of corporate greed. I have 3 cats and this is their favorite wet food, but I have to feed 2-3 cans for one of their two meals and....I haven't noticed any money trees in my yard lately.Summary: tasty food for the cats, budget buster for me.

Snob Cats Approve!
I've got three little hellraisers that usually can't agree on which food they like, especially when I'm trying to feed them the 'good' stuff (aka, not the snouts & tails). Any other pricey wet food I've tried that is grain free, healthy, human grade, etc they are not buying into that hipster BS. Out of many attempts, maybe 2 of my 3 will like this, but 1 out of 3 prefers this, or I go 0 for 3.However, I bought this trying to help my 6 year old and a 1 year old boys with some dander/skin itchies. The boys and the 1 year old girl all love this food and finish it with a look of 'please sir may I hav'summore?" I tell them "first off, it's ma'am and secondly when did you learn cockney??"But in all honesty, I'll gladly pay a little extra to know that all 3 of my furchildren will actually clean the plate completely. I've noticed less dandruff and a shinier/softer coat on all 3 as well. Delicious and healthy?! Can't believe it!Can't recommend enough!

Unbelievable! THIS product has changed and for the worst.
First and foremost I've been purchasing Avoderm Tuna & Crab wet cat cat food for years, and I mean years. It's been the only cat food my furry boy would actually eat, he loved it! Big chunks of pink fish, a light colored gravy, I would literally have to cut up the chunks of fish they were so gorgeous and big. BUT NOW.... O.M.G. This is the most disgusting cat food I've ever seen. The gravy is dark, no big chunks of fish or crab, it's a vile soupy gross smelling mess and my cat won't touch it, HE WILL NOT EAT IT.I reached out to the company (Avoderm) asking them what happened. Well lets get this straight, there's not a stupid bone in my body. I KNOW what that cat food looks and smells like and more importantly, so does my cat. Who in the h*ll do you think you're fooling!?!?!? AND now, now to hear Breeder's Choice bought them out and now owns Avoderm. Well, well, now doesn't that make perfect sense! YES they changed the formula AND, they lied to me stating that they didn't and I will copy paste that lie below. I'm sitting on 3 cases of this vile disgusting food and would like to feed it to their pets. You haven't heard the last from me Breeder's Choice or more appropriately named, "WE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS"...All in all, do not buy this cat food. Whoever started Avoderm had a good thing going but the since it's been sold the suits at the helm could give a rip about your furry loved one. So buyer beware because this cat food is nothing but crap.

Looked Healthy But Finicky Cat Won't Touch It
First let me say, I have a very finicky cat when it comes to eating. I have been trying to get her to eat healthier low carb foods. I did my research and came up with a list of all those that had lower carbs and high protein using good ingredients. I have now tried them all. She would not eat any of them even when I barely mixed them in with her current food. Her current food is sadly Fancy Feast sliced with Gravy. Surprisingly, the grilled with gravy isn't too bad as far as carbs are concerned. She likes gravy.Sadly this one was no different. I am sure it should be high rated as it appears very healthy, but I could not rate it high, because my cat won't touch it. She won't even go near it. She smells it from a distance and walks off. Again, that reaction of hers is the same with any low carb, high protein, high quality cat food.

Best cat wet food
Cats love the real crab and tuna flavor and it has a very high water content - good for the cats.
