My second cancer
Really related to some chapters. I went through a divorce the first time diagnosed, radiation partial mastectomy.was married 27 years!! Ten years later it returned same breast. Was very fortunate to have breast health care navigator to get me set up with chemo. No radiation to same breast...I chose a bilateral mastectomy, for fear of it spreading. Radiation even 10 years later did terrible things to my tissues....I have implants now, it took what seemed forever for my healing radiated breast to heal from open ...sore areas....I worked all through the time span...I previously had both hips replaced thr, so my battle was Real, yes I am depressed. But so very thankful at the same time !!

I got a copy for my friend with breast cancer and wished she could have had it sooner. I'm so glad to have discovered the book. Book might be good for a person newly diagnosed with cancer but a month or two after diagnosis you pretty much know everything written in the book.

Glad Michele wrote it after her experience
Small book which I read fully the day it was delivered. Very helpful! Glad Michele wrote it after her experience. Need to send it on to my family as well because I want them to have a better idea of what I'm going through. It also has tips for my sister to help my niece. I actually skipped chapters on children because I do not have any.

A comfort for the freshly diagnosed
A very simple, direct book written by a survivor. I found it so helpful as I start chemo in a week and still feel baffled by what has happened.
