Dark Stag Specialist Shaving Bowl – Stainless Steel Lathering Bowl for Barbers

I purchased this shaving bowl to lather up solid shave soap with my shaving brush. The item is metal and has a good weight to it without being "heavy" - for a shaving bowl. It's shiny chrome type and a good size to lather up my shaving soap. I haven't used it to store shave soap in but it would accommodate some of the smaller to medium shave soaps. I have spotted one reviewer below mention rust, thankfully mine has not rusted (and I hope it does not) but I will update this review with a comment in the unfortunate event that it does. Hopefully the gents rusted bowl was a bad one off. I do always dry my bowl after use however.

Great little bowl.Sits nicely in my hand, and is the perfect size for whipping up a froth!Good traditional shape as well.Reason for three star rating is : Disappointed by the fact there is a small fault on the underside of the rim, not been rolled properly during manufacture. For the price it should be perfect. I did not notice this until the 2nd day Would have returned for replacement but threw packaging away the day I got it.

Within 2 days use this heap of junk was rusting at the seams. My advice?? Save your money and buy a cat food bowl because that is what this is.

The Proraso 150ml tub fits inside perfectly for storage and portability. Get your lather started in the tub with your brush then continue to lather in the the Stag bowl. Tip, warm the bowl first in warm water.
