I had order my first belt and loved. I ordered a second and it was the wrong size. the size stamped was not the right size, I had given it to a friend. I tried one more time, again belt had the right size number on the belt but it was way short. gave it to a family member. I will not be ordering again.

There are some reviewers who have reported that the mechanism (the little lever on the bottom front) that is used to take the belt off, is not easy to operate. The first time I put on my belt, I kept on trying and the belt didn't move...which scared the hell out of me, because I though I will have to cut myself out of it. But, then I found the trick, pull the belt just a little bit, as if you are putting it on, and then operate the mechanism, the belt opens. BUT, its not as smooth as what I expected. Whenever I have to open it, it takes me 2-3 tries to open it.The worst thing that happened to me is that the saw-tooth jaws that holds the buckle on the belt stopped holding my belt! I was at work, and imagine the belt opening up by itself with a jerk, and falling apart (SEE PICTURES). Thankfully my pants didn't fall to my knees! What I found out was that the side of the belt which the saw-tooth jaw holds on to, had worn down. I had to cut that portion out so that a thicker, fresher, portion of the belt was available for the buckle to hold on to!From a pro perspective, the belt's leather does look great. The buckle looks great as well. So, not a total disaster. Its slightly bigger than my size. But as others suggested, I just cut some of the belt down, and it fit perfectly.Overall, I don't think this belt is going to last long, and don't think I will buy it again.---- Updated June 30, 2016-------* Added Pictures* The Vendor was nice enough to send me another belt to try on. But that belt has the same issue. So, from a customer service perspective they seem to be great. I wanted to reduce the stars to 2, but because of customer service, I am keeping it at 3. As you can see in the pictures, this has happened to me at least twice!

One of the best belts I own today…Bar none! I owned high end designer specialty/exotic leather belts to cheap everyday ones made by denim companies you see at the malls. This however changed everything I knew about belts waist up. After getting my first one (black to be safe) I ended up ordering one in every color. At this price, how can you go wrong? They feel very well made, I rotate my belts everyday so I’m not a guy that gets excessive wear out of 1 belt and so can’t really comment on the durability of this product. But for functionality and looks, this gets an A+++.Since this, I’ve been bitten by the ratchet belt bug and my only gripe is that black is fine from Vbigger, but their Tan/Brown options are highly limited. I suggest you also try Anson Belts and Mission Belts for a bigger selection, better quality but at a price. As for a simple black or brown, it’s a no brainer. There is a reason why this product has this many positive reviews and got me to get rid of all my old belts (30+) this past weekend. Now I’m down to 9 ratchet belts in various materials/brands and shades of brown, black and fabric. Love this product and you will too.

I really like this belt. It looks sharp and is easy to adjust. The leather seems to be of very good quality.Unfortunately, it has a couple of issues. First, the latch to loosen the belt is only on one side of the belt buckle. I like to wear my belts left to right (counterclockwise) and this leaves the latch on the bottom. This is less convenient than if it were on top. I tried wearing my belt the other way, but it drove me crazy. Secondly, some of the plastic peels off the sides of the belt This makes me a little nervous about the long-term quality of the product. I have owned it for more than a month and it still looks great!I would buy likely buy this belt again.

Three months into wearing this belt and I must say I will be staying with ratchet belts from here on out. The fit is perfect. That being said, I am very happy with this belt in particular. The buckle is nicely polished and of heavier weight that I was expecting. The release mechanism functions well and though I think the rod it pivots on could be a bit more substantial, I have had no problems at all. The belt itself has shown no wear or cracking and shouldn't considering you do not need to bend it back every time to engage and release the buckle.Update: After wearing this belt regularly(3-5 X per week), the belt gave way after just over three years. This far exceeded my expectations for the price of this belt. The buckle held up fine with minimal scratching to the black surface. I have since gone to a lower profile buckle which is more comfortable and easier to release but will absolutely be wearing ratchet belts from here on out.In summary, if you want a cheap belt that will last there is nothing wrong with this one. You will probably end up spending a bit more for increased function somewhere else.

Decent build quality. One small comment the actual teeth that can be clipped with the buckle do not extend throughout the belt, there is only about 12-ish inch section where the belt can actually be securely in. This is ok but the belt does need to be cut down from the buckle end to fit.Big con and reason for one of the stars is the smell of it when it first came in. I've dealt with leather wallet before and with that just left it out for about 2 days and was fine. With this belt had to use scented antibacterial wipes on it, then place it outside in open air. Had to wipe with the wipes every few days or so. In the end belt lost its horrible smell after about 3 weeks of this. So definitely not usable when it first come in.

I am beginning to like the belt more. It came in a beautiful sturdy box well protected in a cellophane type material. Belt well crafted. I had a great deal of difficulty learning how to use the latch unlatch mechanism but that may have been just ME. past day or so the release is working better and maybe was just stiff. I am planning on ordering another in the color brown. Oh yes, I was able to trim the length with just a pair of scissors. I would recommend the belt to anyone at this time.
