Very good pen with multiple nibs for pen and ink art projects. The ink was good quality, although not water proof. It works very well for over watercolor ink work. I loved using it. However, the ink runs when watercolor is used over this particular ink. I used the pen with other water fast inks perfectly well. The nibs are flexible enough to allow variation in pressure and line width. The handle is well shaped and fits nicely in the hand. A very nice art gift or starter pen. Certainly worth the price. The packaging was quite attractive. I rarely leave art supplies in original packaging but made an exception for this one. The box protects the pen and ink well.

I ordered the pen with 11 nibs for drawing, not calligraphy. I tested all of the nibs, including the larger ones, and they all work quite well. I tested them both with the ink that came with the set (which is not indelible, as many india/china inks are not) and with liquid watercolors. I have a Speedball set already, but I wanted a backup set to stay with my watercolors. I am extremely satisfied with the item; it ioffers an incredible value for the money. The only reason that it is perhaps not giftable is that the handle is not wooden, but plastic.

It’s a wow for me. This is the first nib and pen holder that really goes smoothly over the paper, I am using watercolor cold press so you know it’s got tooth. The pen glides over the paper, no scratchy sounds, not that I mind that, but the silence is nice. I haven’t tried all the nibs but I assume this is representative of the quality of all of them. Very pleased. The nib holder is fatter than I am used to but frankly, that’s a plus since arthritis has decided to accompany me now. It isn’t flimsy and overall feels solid. Glad I chose this to purchase.

This was purchased for me by my husband as a gift along with the Molshine Handmade Glass Dip Pen Crystal Glass Pen. This set was striking in its simplicity and the box it came in was beautiful. The ink is nice and smooth though my only complaint (and this may be purely user error on my part!) is that the assorted tips provided are hard to write with save the default and maybe one other.In the image provided, you can see my test scrawling with the default head of this pen vs the glass pen I also recieved and I'd have to say this pen is the better of the two, its enjoyable to write with and I also use it in my watercolor pieces, so I'd recommend this product for those looking to play with an inexpensive calligraphy set.

I love the set. It comes with so much and it’s a great price, but it is extremely hard to use. I would suggest getting a glass dip pen instead.
