🔵 Stay dry, stay sharp — moisture’s worst enemy in a bead!
This 8-pound bulk pack of premium blue indicating silica gel beads changes color from blue to pink to visually alert you when humidity reaches 20%-50%. Easily reactivated in an oven at 200°F-250°F, these reusable beads protect up to 30 cubic feet per 40 grams, making them ideal for safeguarding valuables in safes, ammo cans, closets, and more from moisture damage.

Works Great with my 3D Printer Filament
I had been purchasing a different brand of desiccant beads that change from orange to green. I wanted a larger quantity of beads and found this 8 lb package at a lower price per pound. These beads are slightly smaller in diameter than my previous beads. I weighed the container before opening and it weighed 8 lb 6.3 ounces so yes it's a full 8 lbs of beads in a 6.3 ounce container. I use these with my 3D Printer to keep my filament dry between uses. I place each unused spool in a one gallon zip lock bag with a container filled with beads. I designed a 3D printable container that I use (can be found on the Printables website, search for 609780-max-air-desiccant-holder-spool). I also have a Bambu AMS where I use these beads to keep the 4 spools in the AMS dry. To monitor humidity levels I have a humidity sensor in my AMS. With the previous beads the lowest I could get the sensor reading was 20%. I replaced all the beads in the AMS with this new brand/batch and after 1 day the sensor read 11%; 2 weeks later and it still reads 11%. Note, this probably isn't the actual humidity as the sensor isn't accurate below 20% but it does give me a relative indication that the humidity is much lower. I'm very pleased with these beads and will reorder these if I ever need to reorder. I don't think that will be soon as 1) 8 lbs of beads is a lot of beads and 2) these beads can be dried out in an oven set to as high as 250F and reused or in my case I use my food dehydrator set at 150F when the outside humidity levels are low.

Good stuff
I use this as a descent in my Bambu lab 3D printer to keep the humidity down. It works very well .

A Versatile, Eco-Friendly, and Effective Moisture-Control Solution!
I recently purchased the Wisesorb reusable Premium Indicating Silica Gel Beads (blue to pink) and have been absolutely thrilled with their performance! Initially, I got them to keep my 3D printer filament dry, but they have since proven to be incredibly useful for drying out electronics as well.Pros:+ Easy-to-see color change - The blue-to-pink color-changing feature is a game-changer, allowing me to clearly see when the beads have absorbed moisture and need to be recharged.+ Eco-friendly - I love that these silica gel beads are reusable, making them an environmentally conscious choice for keeping my belongings moisture-free. A few hours in my countertop oven and they were ready to go again.+ Long-lasting - The 8 lbs container is a fantastic value, as it provides enough silica gel beads to last a lifetime. You'll never need to worry about running out!Cons:Minor bead breakage - The only downside I've experienced is that some of the beads were broken, causing them to slip through my containers. However, this is a very minor issue considering the overall effectiveness of the product.I highly recommend these Silica Gel Beads for anyone in need of a reliable and environmentally friendly moisture control solution. Whether you're looking to keep your 3D printer filament dry or save your electronics from water damage, these beads are a versatile and dependable choice.

3D Printer filament dry box. Seems to work.
The US Gulf Coast is quite a muggy place and I needed a dry environment in which to store my 3D printer filament as I was starting to notice quality problems.Grabbed an 80qt Sterilite tub with gasket and these silica gel beads. I placed 2 hygrometers, one inside to monitor relative humidity, and one outside as a control. Within 3 hours, the RH dropped to 12% in the box with 52% outside. (The photo shows 16% inside, but that happened simply by opening the box).I used 3/4 of the 8 lbs container in the tub (may add more) and used four organza bags to fill with beads and place in other unrelated locations.I would assume it would be best to actively dry your filament and then store it in a passive dry box like this. I cannot imagine that it will dry out filament that has already absorbed moisture, but then again, it might.I dig that the beads will, in theory, last a lifetime. I will likely get more.

8# aint what it used to be
Upgraded +1Star: Like a 5# bag of sugar is actually 4#, 3629g (8#) is 3412g in this Osama bin Biden era; shy ~ 0.48# And I was counting on every gram.Could not have crammed another 200 grams into gallon jug, it was full right to the cap.2nd Purchase 02/23 same full to the brim gallon jug.Split 16 cups between 4 ultra-fine mess bags, often used in aquariums, with an additional 2 cups [18 cups and a smidgen, total].Over the past 15 months this sillica has kept gun safes drier than pop-corn frat in the sultry Deep South with no A/C. Changed out every few month, rotating 1 per gun safe, RH always <50%. No need to heat up Golden Rods for a waste of watts.

Keep your Filament DRY!
These work great to help keep your 3D printing filament dry and ready to use. I like that they change color to indicate they need a recharge. With this size jug I shouldn't need to buy anymore for a year or so!

Absorbs Moisture
I bought this to lower the humidity in my AMS for my 3D printer and it works great. Took the humidity levels from 41% down to 10%.
