I've bleached my hair for a long time and decided to try this to lighten my roots and brighten up my lengths.My natural hair is dark-medium brown, in any case a bit darker than is recommended for this product. My hair was in good condition before using this and is naturally curly, therefore can be a bit dry.I used 40vol peroxide with this and applied conditioner on hair areas that I didn't want the product to penetrate as much. I applied the mixture to the rest of my head and left it for about 40-50 minutes. After rinsing, I found it had lifted my roots decently but the lengths were comparatively grey. Hair felt in good condition after one application.After rinsing, I mixed up some more 12/81 and used weaker peroxide (10 vol mixed with 40vol). I applied a second time to my entire head for 20 minutes, and my roots lifted to a really nice platinum colour. After I rinsed my second application, I did a bleach rinse on my lengths that were a bit over-toned (a bit blue-grey looking), so just be aware of over-toning already bleached hair. The bleach rinse got rid of the over-toned look and my overall hair result was bright platinum.My hair was left in better condition than it would be with my regular bleaching routine. Normally I need to bleach twice and tone to get this result, so I am really pleased. It is still drying, but not as damaging as powder bleach.I'm impressed!

Still a bit confused about this product, I bought it as a cream colourant but it is basically a toner, a pretty good toner nonetheless. I've used creme colours in the past for highlights but my hair is naturally mid to dark brown so getting a lift is difficult without bleach or multiple applications and additional toners. I've grey coming in and in an effort to blend it I went old school and used a streaking cap to keep it natural. The first application I used 30 vol and only left it on 25+ minutes so it didn't give great results. I upped it to 40 vol and left it on for closer to 45 mins and it's perfect, the most natural ash/pearl highlights that covers and blends greys and tones everything better than anything I've ever had from a salon.

product expired by 10 months, left my hair with uneven colour and patchy, with an itchy skin. I do not recommend it!
