Excellent product!
Got this for my Chucky costume in lieu of a wig for cost saving purposes. I’m a brunette and not sure how much the color was going to come through based on other reviews. When I first put it on, I freaked out as it looked totally yellow due to the lighting in my bathroom. Was determined to go get a wig instead but due to weather and time restraints I just went with it. I added a little more color and used the blow dryer as the instructions said and just left it alone. Went outside to have a cigarette with my husband and he was like the color looks great, he took a picture and sure did. I thought it was perfection! The lights definitely play a role on what the color looks like. I posted different pictures for reference. It’s also somewhat shimmery but only noticeable on your clothes and hands. It did rub off a little bit on my coat but I was able to wipe it off with a damp towel. I had to use a crappy pillowcase to sleep at night as I was to lazy to shower afterwards and glad I did as the pillowcase was completely orange the next day. Wishing it off was fairly easy though all things considered. I just shampooed twice. I only used less than half of the container and I have long hair. I event applied it on my eyebrows with no problems. The only minor complaint I have is that it doesn’t come with instructions but I found them on the amazing product info. I totally recommend this product.

Messy but cute!
This is cute! Easy to apply. Didn't show up well on dark hair but great on my blonde hair

Not good.
I want to add for reference that my hair is dark brown and fine.I followed the directions exactly but after one swipe or two the product practically disappeared. Photo 1 is after about five minutes trying to work it into that strand. I tried that tactic for about thirty minutes but it just kept knotting and disappearing. I put my hair in a ponytail for the character I was doing, and just lathered it on. That was the only way I could get it to show up. It basically made my hair feel like straw. It was very uncomfortable and messy even after drying. The only good thing was the ease of removal. I did three round of shampoo and most of it was gone by the second, I just wanted to be sure. Pic 3 is after my shower to show the difference in texture and color. All in all, would not recommend for any serious costumes. I was lucky and just needed it for a kids party.

Works pretty well, but a couple of things:
It's thick and needs to be put on a little at a time. If you goop it on, it's very hard to take back off. The other thing is that, yes, it's sparkly, and that's fine, but it's more like gunmetal than black. So keep that in mind, depending on what you're after.Other than that, once dry, it isn't really rub off on my clothes. and it washed out pretty easily in the shower.

Great if you want the wet look, advertisements misleading
The media could not be loaded. I tried both the silver and light pink colors. Both deposited color well over both the dark brown and blonde parts of my hair. The pink color is really pretty. However it made my hair stiff and tangled. There was no “brushing and styling as usual” happening whatsoever after applying, as the video instructions state. The advertised photos of brushed and styled hair with even color are definitely misleading.I used a wet brush on my hair while the gel was still wet. It was doable, but I could only do so much to direct the hair. It was very tangly, even brushing in small sections.I brushed a section after the gel dried, too, but it was really difficult to do without ripping my hair — and it left my hair dull and tacky, so I decided to abort mission and just leave it looking wet. As you can see in the photos, when brushing dry, the color flakes off all over the place and reduces coverage on the hair. My blonde began showing through, and the pink looked patchy. The brushed hair was still stiff, and touching it left metallic pigment on my hands (see photo) and brushes. That said, this does rinse out very easily, from hair, skin and brushes. And it’s great if you want the gel look and don’t mind everything that comes with that (stiffness and inability to adjust style, part, etc. after it’s applied). I loved how my hair looked in pink so I ultimately embraced the wet look and had fun with it. Had I known how inflexible styling would be from there, though, I would have taken a different approach to the application.Giving it 3 stars bc it worked for my one night of fun, but it wasn’t quite as advertised. If you want to brush and style your hair, with vibrant, even color, this is not the product.
