My daughter's favourite book when she was little, purchased so she can now read it to her little girls. Book arrived very quickly and well packaged.

The reason I haven'haven't given an age for this book it's because it depends -for me it was always a book that I read to pre-school children because it's a beautiful fantasy with a happy ending although both the moon and the Bear lose their hats they end up by saying I still love you to each other. It's a delightful book for 3 to 4-year olds when read to them and can provoke a lot of discussion about how many hats were there really and how did they both manage to lose the hat etc. I'm sure some older children would be able to read the book for themselves and would enjoy the story as long as they were still into simple magical tales.it's the sort of book I would keep forever in fact I might order another one for me.

My daughters had this book when they were young, I have now bought it for my Grandson, as its such a lovely story

Can not speak highly enough of this book! I read it to my daughter many times over as a youngster and just bought it again for her as a Christmas present! A unique charm that can only be appreciated when read!

You will love reading this to your kids. It is brilliant. You do have to be careful to read the echo as an echo of the original phrase and not try to change the inflection to what you would expect. But it works so well. Frank Asch is a genius.

One of my favourite stories from when I was a kid and the Nanny families I read it to love it too. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good children's book.

This is the most perfectly delightful, gentle story - so simple and so special. I was so happy to find a copy for my little grandson - his father loved the book and I am sure he will too.
