Powerful and impressive!
I am totally impressed by how powerful the stun gun is. It is very loud too which will attract attention if you are attacked. The pepper spray fits nicely into your hand. In stores where I am the pepper spray costs the same as this whole kit does. Hopefully I never have to use either one but where I live it is a wise investment. Well worth peace of mind.

A great non-lethal combo
I know folks going straight for guns for self-preservation and protection, though I tend to err on the side of caution. This is a great, well-priced alternative to lethal self-protection. Best features are its compact size and the handy built-in charging plug, which slides out from the side on the bottom and you just pop it into the wall. It’s nice to not have to find a power cord to charge it. It would be nice if it had a usb for car charging, but not a dealbreaker. Actually prefer the side plug charging feature.

Good combo set
This is a good combo set; however the stun does not have the anti-grab feature that you get with this model NOT in a set. Seems Sabre is getting rid of older version in this “set”. I know it is for sure an older version because I also bought same model as an individual item (not in a set) at the same time. The set was a gift to a relative and I was disappointed when I saw her open it. I really thought it would be exactly like the one I bought for myself (with anti-grab feature). I thought buying a stun plus pepper spray set as a gift was a great idea plus save a few dollars. So I would recommend buying individual stun and pepper gel instead of this stun and pepper spray set - spend a few dollars more and get much better quality Sabre Products.Purchased Sabre brand as it is well known and recommended brand.

Not sure stun guns are as useful as I'd like to think but we all have to choose our weapons
First the spray: this pepper spray tube is concealed inside a hand grip that is WAY too smooth and slippery. You get a little tactile feedback to give you an idea if you're holding it properly to deploy, but only a little. You get zero visual feedback if you have the chance to glance at it as the entire thing is a matte black finish. This really screams for a grippier, rubbery texture and at least a spot of bright color somewhere for orientation. On the plus side, it comes with a keyring in place so you can attach it to something (like, oh, I dunno, a keyring!).Onto the stun gun: this critter is tiny, not that there's anything wrong with that, but you are going to be dancing cheek-to-cheek with your assailant by the time you get close enough to fire this baby off. There's really nothing to help you hold it tightly so you'd better hit your target hard before he sees this. Major plus: the charging plug is built in so you can't lose it. Major minus: I can see where it would be very easy to zap yourself while in a struggle with an attacker. The printed info on and inside the packaging directs you to online instructional videos. Access to these requires an email address. I jumped this hurdle once for the pepper spray videos and again for the stun gun video. I'm really annoyed at Sabre for requiring this "payment" and equally annoyed at myself for not trying something like [email protected] or using a burner email address. There are several videos about the pepper spray product and several useful points were raised; they're very much worth watching and perhaps reviewing occasionally. The single stun gun "training" video I watched was completely generic, without even a slight attempt to explain the use of a particular model. It was a little funny to watch the model/actress in the video looking down briefly to figure out how to work the product she was demonstrating. "Scuze me Mr. Bad Guy, hold tight while I figger out which button works the shocker thingie!" Maybe there are more videos on the stun products, but the one I saw is in no way a "training" video. It did bring up some good points to consider. A stun device (gun, baton, whatever) is for up-close-and-personal combat, where you and your attacker are close enough to shake hands. You have to have it charged up, and in your hand, and powered on, and positioned for you to hit that discharge switch at the instant you and your assailant start grappling with each other. This is not something you point at someone from a distance to make him or her go away. Just sayin.
