I am throughly impressed with this purchase! The quality of this material piece is beautiful! No cracks, no missing pieces. Perfect for our Montessori inspired homeschool! Definitely recommend if you’re considering adding this material to your shelves.

Although children enjoy "playing" with this material, it is an example of empirically derived and scientifically designed learning material developed by Dr Maria Montessori. Like all her material, it allow children to work in their own way and at their own speed to internalize abstract concepts. It is introduced by a Guide certified in Montessori practice, and typically used by children who already recognize the decimal system present in bead form, from red units to golden cubes of thousands. It gives them practice in associating the appropriate quantity (represented by the beads) with the appropriate symbol (represents by the numerals.). There are also games and extensions afforded by this material, and presented by the trained Guide, to give children repetition necessary to secure understanding of the teen numbers.The material is hands-on because movement and muscular memory are inherent in effective learning. The size, shape, and colors of the beads are consistent with all Montessori math material (although the light blue is a bit "off"). I recommend the material and its component parts as being true to Montessori's vision, although she herself did not design this particular piece. I have found it essential material for most students to master teen numbers in my 44 years of teaching. Very good quality and wonderful, reasonable price.

This is a good Montessori inspired work for ages 3-4. I only worry about the sturdiness of the 1-9 rectangle piece. It's slightly bowed and kind of thin. The beads are knock-offs of true Montessori beads, but that's really not a huge cconcern I'm excited to put it in my ages 3-6 Montessori classroom!

Love the frame, easy to assemble. The only thing is that the beads roll off the triangle really easily. Might get a little pad to stick on so my toddler can carry the frame from the shelf to the rug without the beads rolling off.

It is great for teaching number sense and recognition of numbers 1 - 9.

I was nervous to buy on Amazon rather than through a Montessori dealer. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product. Everything about it feels like legit montessori material. It feels solid, all pieces are well finished with a great feel to them, all pieces are properly sized and fit where they are meant to perfectly. Would recommend. Price was better than any Montessori website.

I work at a small in home Montesorri Preschool and my students LOVE this new work! Can be as easy, or advanced as you make it!

This is an attractive piece of Montessori equipment, but the scale of the individual numbered tiles does not work well with the bead stairs when the tiles are placed in the slot at the top. The tiles should have been smaller.
