1 can per window is all you can expect
I have an older 2008 trailer with clear windows I wanted to tint darker for Summertime and Hot Sun reduced coming through it. So I tried Spray Tinting that took 1 whole can of lightly spraying coats to achieve the desired darkness, but I can still see outside from the inside.

A great value, I’d buy it again
I used it to darken some LED license plate lights I bought (but were airplane landing lights behind me).It definitely does what it says it’ll do. It’s a quality paint that dries fairly quick (aa long as you’re doing quick side to side sprays). The color is as dark as how many layers you decide to lay on. As for durability - I ran that car through the car wash every three days for about 9 months and it didn’t fade or lose adhesion. It knocked it down the original brightness from daylight to mid afternoon. I was probably going to go a little darker but the car got totaled recently. I could’ve used a much smaller can for my project but it was a great value and I’d do it again.

Little too dark and o see the lights in day time but…..
Has little bumps all over, and little too dark to see the light at day time, but if you wet send it, it will be alright, DON’T recommend using it on head lights, as my friend did now he has to get new lights, if sprayed lightly 2-3 coats it is perfect, i’d say don’t buy if you don’t know what you doing, OVERAL good if not over used.

It is OK, but....
I have no idea why it is overpriced once that it has 90% less pigment than a cheap $5 same brand flat black

Great stuff.. BUT follow the directions and spray LIGHT coats
This stuff is great. Bought some first at an Auto Zone and it came out pretty good. Not like the flat black suede stuff that you see on some peoples tail lights and headlights. I am starting to think those guys are using flat black spray paint EWW. Nothing like this stuff, it is even better that VHT Nightshades in my opinion. The surface of the head and tail lights kept a glossy, slippery texture but when you apply it if you spray for a second too long in one spot, it will run and you will have to wipe with a rag and thinner and start over. Don't be 'that guy' who does not take the prep time like I did the first time around. I didn't tape the components to the left and right of the lights I was tinting. I hovered in one spot too long and the paint started to run and sag. With a second light coat it covered the first mistake and looked pretty good, the mistake wasn't too noticeable unless you sat RIGHT in front of the car. Not perfect but good enough for me. This second time (I bought it again because I like this stuff) I will protect the whole front of my car with paper and spray in light sweeping motions like the directions say and it will look so good. I wish you luck on your car modification journey.I think it would also work good for fog lights and reverse lights too but after 2-3 coats, the lights look pretty BLACKED OUT without the light applied and the lights off/car off. But when you turn on the lights or step on the brakes, the light shines through pretty good (considering).

You will want to sand and polish too
I was considering buying after-market LED smoked taillights for $200+. I thought I’d give this a try and if I messed it up I would spring for the real deal. I was worried after the first coat, still worried after the third coat. I wasn’t getting consistent coverage. The third coat was plenty dark but I put a fourth coat on in the areas that I felt were thin. After drying you could tell it was applied with a spray can. Discouraged but determined I could make it better, I ran to the auto parts store and picked up a 5000 grit foam sanding pad ($6.99), a micro fiber polishing pad ($2.99) and some polishing compound ($5.99). The sanding blended the tint well but left a flat faded look. I applied the polishing compound by hand and finally got what I was looking for. Between the sanding and polishing the tint had lightened up a bit. In summary here are the steps I did:1- applied first coat (outside at 60 degrees Fahrenheit) and let dry 30 min;2- applied three more coats 30 min apart for a total of four coats;3- sanded the tint with a 5000 grit pad until the tint looked even and you couldn’t see the spray marks anymore;4- finallly, I buffed the lights with polishing compound until I got the shine I was looking for.
