Well built, small and light and helps training
I was looking for something that helped me practice and build muscle strength without actually using my bow and potentially dry firing it. This is a nice little product. It is well built, it is small and light. It has a significant variety of resistances to help you train. Because it uses the elastic tubes there are no worries about getting the draw length set. It is a little difficult to get the feel for when you first start to use it, however I quickly overcame that issue with a Sharpie pen and marked the spot that I would nock the bow string. Being honest it is not a bow string and it is not a 100% accurate simulator, but I do not believe that is the point and not what I bought it for.The Bow Trainer helps build strength and it helps me practice my form. I can move and try to see my form from different angles in a mirror to check and make sure my stance is correct. I can move up and down in draw resistance to help me make the most of the time I spend using it. I can complete as many reps as I want. I can use this without having to go outside in the rain or snow. I can safely use it inside without fear of damage to me, my house or my bow. The most important part of this is that I can work the correct muscle groups without the risk of dry firing my bow by accident.

Well designed bow training aid
I've tried a few different bow training aids to get stronger for pulling compound bows, and to stay in shape. This one is the best design by far. It's closest to actually pulling a bow and has options for various weights. I even added some lead shot to mine to give the bar itself a bit of weight! Do be careful not to overdo with it, and watch your form! But this gets high praise so far.

Does not feel exactly like a real bow but its an awesome tool to add to the training regimen
Got this to help train myself at a 70lb draw weight so I can pull easily in a variety of hunting situations without compromising accuracy (sitting, kneeling, etc). The feel and balance is not exactly like a modern hunting compound bow, but it really works those archery muscles very well. I do 4 sets at 50lbs, 60lbs, 70lbs and do a superset back at 50lbs I definitely feel the pump! Each day so far that I have used it I have gone up in reps so it is doing the job well. Like another reviewer mentioned the weight is a bit light since my Hoyt Carbon Matrix weighs about 6.5 pounds loaded down. For the price and if you are serious about building stamina and pulling 70+ pounds comfortable using this every day and heading to the range once or twice a week - you'll become a different archer pretty quick.

Back in the game...
I give this a 5 star rating for the following reasons: I am 68 year old outdoors man (fishing, boating, and hunting) who gave up bow hunting 35 years ago due to work and family commitments. Three years ago I purchased a new bow with the intent of getting back into the sport and started to practice. However work commitments got in the way again and I didn't have time to give it my all. I retired 2 months ago and now with time on my hands took the bow out to start practicing for the season. Well I was unable to pull back the bow (set at 45 lbs.) without tremendous shoulder pain. I thought my second attempt to get back into shooting / hunting was gone forever. Well I did some on line research and found out about the Bow Strength Trainer, seen it was rated over 4 and a half stars by 175 plus reviews. I purchased it and have been working out with it for approx 4 weeks now following the instructions. My results have been great, I am now able to shoot 25 arrows per practice session without any shoulder discomfort. I should be back in the deer woods before the end of this season. Thank-you Bow Trainer and Amazon. It worked for me.

Its great for draw weight training, but the measurement of weight is off
I been using this for a week now, and I like it alot. If you want to use a high poundage long bow or warbow, this is a good tool to help build up to it. If the correct stance (front leg forward and bent, and leaning forward) you can easily pull to your ear. Just remember to wear safety goggles when using incase the rubber was to snap (or you might lose an eye/suffer a severe injury).

The next best thing !
Finally an exerciser that simulates pulling a real bow. Weather you just need to get back in shape to pull that !959 55 lb Bear Kodiak that you took out of storage or need to strengthen a shoulder injury this extremely versatile Bow Trainer will help tremendously. With 4 bands from 10 lbs at 18" draw of your 6 year old neice or daughter, up to band with 48 lbs at 28" By combining two to 4 bands you can obtain a total of 130 lbs @ 32 " to get in shape for the British War bow championship. Well constructed and easy to use without the danger ( with Novices ) of a dry fire. I've tried several others and they don't hold a candle to this superior trainer. Joe in San Francisco
