The product looks very good. It is the first time I try dandelion root, so I cannot compare to other brands, but it came very well packaged and it is organic. It does not even taste too bad.

I don't know if its going to help
This is the second pack of this that I've bought and again, it tastes awful.I've been disguising the taste in tea with lemon juice and ginger so I can't taste it but it took me a while to find something strong enough to disguise the taste.I'm taking it because i have cancer and I'm told that dandelion root helps to fight it off and clean the blood, help the immune system etc etc. However, I have also recently found out that dried, packaged dandelion root might not be effective. Apparently, it's much better to make your own out of fresh dandelions. This is not practical for me so I opted for this approach. I hope its going to help. I haven't noticed any benefits yet if I'm honest.

Therefore I use 1/2 Tablespoon per cup (that's about 1-1/2 teaspoons). I roast it quite dark; very dark brown. I discovered this by accident when I over roasted a batch in my oven. It was just short of starting to be a tad burned. Oh, but it makes a deep, dark, rich flavored cup of dandelion root tea! When I am cooking up a batch of tea on the stove with this dark roasted root, it almost smells like peanut butter. (I make a 'concentrate' by combining 6 cups of water and 16 tablespoons roasted root. I bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 5\". Then i turn it off and let it sit on the stove and cool, and hopefully pull more flavor out of the root. When it's cool enough, I pour the 'tea concentrate' into a quart jar through a sieve. When I'm ready to have some, I measure 1/8 cup of the concentrate into a cup and add 8ozs water and heat that up before drinking it....although it's pretty good cold, or room temp.) One time I put 1/4 cup of this concentrate to 8ozs of water and it was wonderful! The reason I make a concentrate is so that I don't have to store so much premade quantity of tea in the frig. Since this quart of concentrate makes 32 cups, I drink it frequently and love it! I'd love to hear how others make it."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"is it roasted","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"No it is not. You can easily roast in a 250 degree oven. Spread on a cookie sheet or extra heavy aluminum foil and roast for about 15-20 minutes or until it dries and turns brownish."}}]}]}
