Very Well Written
Most of my design work is in steel, but occasionally I have a concrete beam, wall, or slab to design. I am also studying for the SE exam, so I need to brush up on concrete. My original reference was outdated, and the writing was very turgid, making the reference pretty much useless This one is VERY well written, and has easy to follow examples. It also provides cross references to ACI 318 for the methodology and equations. The illustrations are also very good and easy to understand.

Nice and affordable international version
The international version is much more affordable than the hardcover version. It came sealed in plastic with a minor dent. The paper quality is much better than regular paperback books since it is similar to premium plastic paper found in some hardcover books. The overall quality is very good for a book.

Print Quality
I have a digital copy of the "American" version. So far the content is the same, I haven't looked too hard though. I like the build of the book; however, the print is too light for my liking. Be sure to have a desk lamp nearby or proper lighting if you will be using the book. The ink darkness/intensity is somewhat irritating.

Focused on how reinforced concrete works.
A deep analysis of reinforced concrete mechanical behavior, and a great integration to the ACI 318 code. Statics, mechanics of materials and structural analysis knowledge are required to foloow the content. A great book to understand how reinforced concrete works, not necessarily focused on structural design.

Great Book and Reference Material
If you wanna know how concrete works, this is the book for you. I use it for work to determine loads for crane and building structures. Makes the work really easy and there are so many example problems to help guide you down the right path. Absolutely wonderful reference material.

The paper back version is different from the hard cover ...
The paper back version is different from the hard cover when it comes to practice problems. The two have them on different pages and they have different values for load, areas, etc. So if you need this for class and will be assigned homework from it don't buy the paperback, And if you are going to buy it used MAKE SURE THAT IT EXPLICITLY STATES IT IS HARD COVER, other wise you can assume you'll get the paperback.

Definitely a Go-to
After taking Concrete Engineering courses and finishing my degree, I have to say this book still carries relevant theory. I kept my copy for reference and it in fact still comes in handy.
