Snap clamps are used to attach tarps, shade cloth, netting or other material to the pipe. Some applications include greenhouses, row covers, shelters, bird protection, dog beds, and padded frames. There are two types of clamps available, both made of ABS: an HD snap clamp for long-term use and an EZ clamp for light duty, or frequent on-off use. ABS clamps have a higher temperature resistance compared to a snap-on PVC clamp, allowing it to maintain its gripping power for a long time. Snap-on clamps are heat sensitive and may lose gripping strength if exposed to temperatures above 140 degrees F. Clamp size is based on the inside diameter of the PVC pipe it is attached to. hooks up. When used on conduit, polyethylene tubing, or other tubing measured by outside dimensions, use a smaller 1/4-inch snap clamp (i.e. 1-inch polyethylene tubing will take a 3/4-inch snap clamp ).

Great little devices, do not step on them!
I should have bought more! These come at such a great price and fit and function as advertised. However, when it gets windy and your plastic is catching the wind like a sailboat, 90 of these puppies will not hold your plastic onto your pvc. I made the mistake of only buying enough to secure the ends of my hoop house and the rolled up portion of extra plastic on either side (which I used a piece of pvc like a toilet paper roll and just wrapped the extra plastic around it and rolled it up, worked great but needed more of these for the sheer sq ft I had to cover). I am buying hundred more of these next year because they work so well. There is strength in numbers but you need to supply the numbers for them to help each other out. Next year I am putting some of these on each “rib” of my hoop house to help disperse the load of wind pulling on the plastic.

Perfect solution for fixing a broken umbrella pole tilt hinge!
No taping, glueing, sawing or endless searching for a replacement. Snap it on over the joint. Works like a charm! And today was fairly windy, gusts up 20 mph. Stayed perfectly straight.I was almost ready to throw it away. It broke last summer and I have tried all kinds of methods to keep it from tilting.Best part is you can easily take it off (or slide it down) when you want to lower the umbrella. Not an option if you use galvanized stainless steel clamps (screws tightened).IMPORTANT! Buy the 1 inch clamp even though your pole’s outer circumference is 1 1/4 inch. Any bigger and it won’t work. I know - I bought the 1 1/4 inch clamp and it was too big.

Really works for keeping tarps or material clamped onto PVC
I was really surprised that this worked so well. Be sure to order the correct size for your PVC pipe. I put together a DIY awning for a mobile home window. It turned out fantastic. Cost was pretty good for such a quality product. They were a bit tough to get on but this is what makes them work so well. Holds tight and held up in wind and rain.

Easy to use but edges punctured our 6mm plastic
I actually meant to order the 1/2” but gave the 1” size a go for our 1/2” PVC raised garden hoops. We have a frost blanket and 6mm plastic for our winter garden and the bigger size actually accommodated the extra material perfectly. My only fuss is that the edges of the clamps punctured our brand new 6mm greenhouse plastic. I will buy the 1/2” in a different color for our summer shade cloths and other garden box uses

Excellent product
These clamps have been more than amazing. We have shade/wind cloth for some of our garden plant beds that we use to attach to a pvc frame depending on the weather. We started out with zip ties, but realized quickly that was inconvenient and wasteful because we don't leave it up at all times. These make it so much easier and they really grip and hold well, even through extremely gusty winds. Will definitely be buying more as we add more garden beds.

easy to use but..
easy to put on the pipe, BUT, will not hold in any wind above 5 mph

Works great.
These are great - they worked better than I thought they would; they held secure during heavy winds. I had originally intended to use them along the bottom of the PVC pipe/plastic sheet greenhouse I was building for my wife. I didn't think they would work as well for the corners and other areas of the building though. After seeing the way the clamped and gripped the plastic without binding it too much I decided to buy even more, use them along the edges and reinforce the ends of the plastic with some strong clear waterproof sealing tape - which I did - but I don't think the tape is necessary as the clamps do such a great job of holding the plastic. I believe if a wind came along strong enough to break the plastic free the greenhouse will be gone anyway.
