This cheese is a whole cow's milk cheese made in Gloucestershire County, England. The paste is speckled with pieces of chives and onions which give the pale orange cheese its distinctive appearance. Although the natural flavor of thid alone or as part of cheese platter. Because of its strong herbaceous flavor, pair it with other milder cheeses and crackers to keep your platter from overpowering or clashing with itself. In England, Cotswold is referred to as a pub cheese, and although it would pair beautifully with a Zinfandel or a Shiraz, don't forget to save a bit for to enjoy later with an ice cold beer and some toast.

I love Double Gloucester with Chives, and haven't been able to get it for years. Didn't think of looking on Amazon, and was Very pleased that they carry it. This seller's website has an enormous variety of cheeses.

I first tasted this Cotswold Cheese when I lived in ...
I first tasted this Cotswold Cheese when I lived in England. It was the "Pub Lunch" at my local pub. When I came back to the states, I found it on Amazon, and have ordered one or two of the one pound rounds every year. Yes, Trader Joe's does carry it, but in small quantities. Next time I will order the 5 pound wheel. Merry Christmas!

Delicious!!!
Had this as part of the cheese course at a local restaurant (Matthew's). Unfortunately, this particular cheese is not available locally. Had no idea we'd find it on Amazon but took a chance. So glad we did! The cheese arrived in appropriate packaging and was enjoyed immensely. A Trader Joe's is coming to our area later this year and we understand they carry this on a regular basis. Hooray!

Great tasting cheese
Great tasting cheese, not too mild or too sharp. Very flavorful. The onion and chives complement it perfectly. Just wish it wasn't so expensive and difficult to obtain. You can't stockpile it either...it doesn't keep.
