Q: about how long does it take for this to work?

Like any medicine, it will take about a week or so. It's worked great for my dogs, but eventually their heart murmur will get worse and you would have to switch to vetmedin, if I could have. I would have kept them on this, but it did slow down the rate of the murmur from getting worse tremendously.

Q: I purchased this item and upon opening I saw blakc liquid and tar, what color is this medicine is supposed to be?

I messaged the Natural Wellbeing Distribution chat because I saw the tar like substance as well and was worried and this is what they replied: This is what we call particulate. Our herbal liquids are saturated with medicinally active compounds extracted from the highest quality herbs. These liquids leave our facility filtered and free of particulate. In a short period of time, it is natural to see precipitation or an accumulation of these active compounds on the dropper or in the liquid. This is a natural event and a sign of a desired and potent liquid. These are therapeutically active components of the product. Simply shake well and include this part of the supplement when administering a dose.
